hahaha ummmmm.... Judging by some aspects of the case (particularly the fact that apparently Singer wasn't even in the same State as Egan at the time the alleged abuse occurred) I have my doubts that Egan is being motivated by a heroic altruism...

Nah. Believe it or not, the UK has stricter laws regarding libel and slander, so I doubt they'd be keen to get very involved in an obviously frivolous suit.

I think a big reason Egan's lawyer dropped him is because, if I remember correctly, there was talk of him being investigated by the Bar for frivolous charges because of this suit.
