I’m impressed that they’re also using the K1600GT/GTL instrument cluster. This leads me to believe that much of the BMW luxury touring bikes’ electronic functions can or could be used in this vehicle.

We put Goodyear Gatorbacks on ours and it turned in really well. My wife drove it to work every day, so we left the suspension alone while we had it.
I had a 1988 BMW K75C for a few years. I’d be riding along and the tach would quit working, sometimes the speedo would give it up at the same time. I got frustrated one time, so I just punched the instruments while I was riding along and both started working again.
The Civic VX was built for mileage, so I believe it was rolling a sub 100hp motor. The Civic EX, however, was running an early VTEC motor with about 125hp. We had a 93 EX Sedan and it was a pretty stealthy performance car. Even among cheap cars, there’s a kind of pecking order and those Civics were easily…
Perhaps you missed the more important point of that column - by focusing on stupid stuff like whether he eats his steak with ketchup we’re sending a message to his supporters that the left will pick on the most idiotic things if they think it will make points with readers. This strategy will serve no American citizen…
I remember going down to the local Honda dealer to look at them when they showed up. It was like looking at the future. Water cooling. That anti-theft thing. It was amazing for the time. I had a CB750F, circa 1982 and the V4 line was a big leap forward, especially the Interceptor with the perimeter frame. Does…
Correct. Thank you. V45 Sabre, if memory serves.
I’m not sure about the “hard to find” thing with motorcycles. Honda made about a zillion VFRs over 30 years and continues to sell 2 or 3 V4 equipped bikes after first introducing them in 1983 as a replacement for the CB series. Add in the ST1100 and ST1300 and there are tons of V4s out there.
I’d be curious to see if this viewpoint is carried over to dentistry.
That sound, though.
Like most bullies, when you press them on their shit, they reveal themselves to be cowards. I’m sure they were all bluster and braggadocio after they were done driving around with their Flag of Racist Douchebaggery threatening a child’s birthday party, but when they get held to account, they cave.
My take is that if it means that much to them to be in front me, it doesn’t mean that much to me to keep them behind me.
This aligns well with my plan to make golf more interesting to watch. Make each golfer start at opposite ends of the hole they’re going to play, one on the tee and one on the putting green. In my vision, there would be both a tee and a hole on each end.
I was in Boston then and he was kind of locally famous. I remember him leaving Lotus so he could have “some intentionally unstructured time”, a phrase I’ve borrowed many times when I needed some recuperation from busy periods.
That was one of my wife’s biggest disappointments when she reported the guy taking pictures up women’s dresses. She talked to exclusively women in the organization as she worked her way up the reporting ladder and none of them appeared to give a crap.
A Mercedes Benz Mustang. So much want.
In my experience with multiple startups, the maverick CEO is generally a prick to work for and often an embarrassment to be around with clients.
My wife, who has been working in tech for more than 30 years is well familiar with all the ways misogyny occurs in the tech industry. Blatant passes made when she was married. A guy taking pictures up women’s dresses at a Fortune 100 tech company’s Christmas party - and the HR department for a 50K employee company…
For the younger folks, it might be important to point out that Mitch Kapor is the guy who created Lotus 1-2-3 which is what we all used before Excel showed up. The guy knows his tech and, if memory serves, he created the Domino server and Lotus Notes, as well.
Being a car enthusiast interferes with my equally strong addiction to motorcycles.
