I can’t speak for every single person of color at our company, but there are a number of single white and Latina mothers at our company who are afforded the same laxer standards that I get in certain situations like coming in later in the morning and having to care for a sick child.

Non white, yes. Female, no. In fact, I was the head of my dept until they hired a lady to be the new head this past October. She offices out of her home in another state and I still run the dept. Day to day. She makes 25% more than me I think.
