I find that for work clothing, the best place for me is White House Black Market. They aren’t cheap, which is why I only buy work outfits there, but they have forgiving fabrics and if you need a sheath dress with sleeves, or a black skirted suit, both with a forgiving amount of give to the fabric, and also matching

They used to have very cute staples in the late 90s and early 2000s before they decided to go balls to the wall with color. Granted, I love anything black and white with a small splash of color in more classic cuts.

I initially read Jon Lovett as Jon Lovitz and thought to myself, “I mean, I guess it could work.”

Fashion porn + Meryl Streep + Emily Blunt + Stanley Tucci = why people love this movie. When I used to flip past channels, I’d stop to watch it whenever it was on, no matter what point of the movie, but especially before the makeover montage. I cannot resist a makeover montage.

Oops, my bad. His kind don’t have vestries. They have green rooms.

I actually haven’t read Court of Thorns yet. I read Throne of Glass when it first came out and thought it was okay, if not fairly predictable. When the second book came out, I wasn’t really interested in picking the series up again. I’m always interested in reading books that have wide mass appeal though, so I’ll

We all have soul dogs, and it’s incredibly hard when they go to doggie heaven (I’m a staunch atheist but I firmly believe in the existence of doggie heaven). Mine was a German Shepherd that lived on the streets until we found each other, and I can remember that day like it was yesterday. He had something in his eyes,

If everyone bails but him, Trump will cancel it.

Don’t forget Capri Sun!

My favorite bakery is making lemon cupcakes and putting a big blackout oreo cookie on top :)

I didn’t even make that connection until you said something!

I can’t get out of my neighborhood due to traffic. It’s going to be a long weekend. But I am grateful that I can watch the eclipse from the comfort of my back porch.

Where do you live!?

I read that FEMA and earthquake preparedness groups and such are specifically enthralled by this because it’s their big chance to study mass population movement without an actual disaster occurring (hopefully.)

I don’t know about everyone else, but it’s getting there and getting out that I’m concerned about. Once I’m there, I’m good. The guy I spoke to who is planning the event I’m attending made it sound borderline apocalyptic with a run on EVERYTHING consumable in the general vicinity of the path of totality in Oregon.

I’m traveling from Boston to Boise for it, and I’m super excited! No idea how to prepare for the massive traffic, though... thinking of wearing Depends so I don’t have to worry about finding a restroom the day of.

We’ll be traveling to St. Joseph, MO (my husband made hotel reservations one year in advance) and we’re trying to prepare for the inevitable logistic nightmare that it will be.

I’ve been excited about it for months, and when I brought up how excited I was, the person I had just started dating at the time told me he’s been excited about it for years. We have a whole nerdy romantic weekend planned.

I just happen to be visiting my dad in Idaho when this happens. Not a huge eclipse nerd, but being able to do something special with my 82-year old dad is a treat.

I can hear my uterus typing her resignation letter.
