I grew up in a college town and knew the sweetest man who was a bus driver. Before the school yearstarted, maybe to make a little extra money, he would pick up girls from wherever they congregated and drive them to the sororities for their rush/interviews/whatthefuckeveritistheydid. BOY did he have stories to tell!!

Their material has become so crappy, but what really irks me is their terrible colors!! They’re constantly rocking light blue jersey and terrible pale pinks and oranges and colors that I don’t actually consider to be colors - it all looks accidental. I don’t get it. I mourn everything I bought from the GAP in the 90's

Didn’t this show also kind of help launch the career of Josh Groban? That’s the only thing I remember about it. (I’m 32 now, so when I watched this at age 12 I thought it was so risque and sexy!)

I feel terrible for all of the English teachers who are supposed to teach kids who have grown up thinking this drivel passes as decent writing.

Awesome! I was thinking about trying to make it to Hiawatha if MO is too cloudy! We have family in Lawrence and it’s not too bad to go from there.

Where are you? (general direction if you don’t want to be specific) I’m in KC and planning on heading north on Sunday to camp, but I’m getting nervous about making it!

Wow. I live about 40 minues away from the path of totality and we’re driving into it on Sunday afternoon. You’ve inspired me to get my shit together today. Heading to the store right after work!!

I don’t know :-/ We’re camping, so I won’t have refrigeration or a kitchen at my disposal. Chips and moon pies will last, though! I am also planning on giving myself an eclipse manicure or pedicure, and I have a tshirt ready to go. If I have time and get my act together, I might try to bake some cookies in various

Yes where??

I literally googled “Eclipse-theme food” yesterday, for fun, and neither of these came up. I am so disappointed in Google, but also going immediately after work to buy both of these things!!

I wish I could watch it with my parents. It breaks my heart but I can’t think of any way for them to make it to where I am (we’ve had plans/campsites booked for a year) in a time frame that works for them :(

My neighbor thinks she’s going to have dinner at 7 that night...we live an hour away from where we’re going to watch the totality (going up the day before) and for us it’s right at 1:00pm. I don’t have super high hopes for her.

On the radio yesterday they talked to someone who explained how incredible it is that we even live in a time where we can see a total solar eclipse. The moon gets further and further away from the earth, so it’s only just now that it’s the right size to totally cover the sun from our perspective. I’m psyched!!

My dad straight up microwaves his ice cream.

I think I was home sick and watching TV the day this aired. I remember seeing it and it was a Big Deal. I didn’t watch much of it because I was 13 and never got to watch daytime TV so I probably tried to find steamy soap opera scenes, instead.

Same.

Oh my god, I remember hearing this in the car the day it aired. So, so horrible.

Um, mustard everything, please.

Penelope has to be my favorite character of hers, unfortunately because someone had to point out to me that I can be a lot like her. It was a good learning experience and I have changed a lot, thankfully :)

Right? All or nothing for me. My problem is with the amount of something I eat, and the feeling that “I’m stressed/tired/sad/celebrating so I NEED to eat/drink all of that!” If I’m really being good and working on my health, I’ve realized I need to focus more on my attitude and relationship with food. Bingeing on
