People who side with Griff are psychopaths; I worry for your safety

Guts was only part of the catalyst. Griffith couldn’t accept that his friend surpassed him, that he(Griffith) wouldn’t ever have Guts’ affection the way Casca did, and that Guts valued his own dreams and desires over those of Griffith. I can understand being upset at the departure of a close friend and ally but

Wait, what? The man sacrificed all his closest friends to demons in exchange for ultimate power. That clearly falls under the heading of “not good”.

That is hilarious you think that because it is Griffiths lust for power that gets everyone killed and gets all bent out of shape that Guts is the better man and swordsman.

Wha-...how is everything Guts fault? He didn’t want to play second fiddle to Griffith forever so he left when he thought everything is ok, but Griffith was such a controlling asshole he couldn’t handle the fact that someone had the strength of will to go against him so he lost it and messed up.

Technically, neither of them had any fault in it; before the Eclipse, as mortals they were both bound by fate and were simply following their part in the God Hand’s plan. I’m pretty sure Griffith would have realized his dream of becoming Femto with or without Guts’ presence.

How is it Guts fault? Griffith’s ambition ultimately led to his own destruction. Hell, if he hadn’t went cocky and sneaked into Charlotte’s room, he would of had a better shot of becoming King liked he wanted and the Band of the Hawk would of have not been nearly wiped out.
