Yup. Hannah and Adam's on-again-off-again craziness is one of the most realistic things about the entire damn series. Most adults who did the dating scene can immediately think of That One Person with whom you have a totally screwed up but also comfortable dynamic. The "I can't" scene perfectly captured that moment

The gesture with the chopsticks absolutely killed me.

I was horrified.

I don't know…I could see them taking the route of having Shosh thrive in a really unconventional way. I don't know what that looks like, but it's certainly what I'm hoping for.

At one point, she had like, 10-15 emotions cross her face in under 2 seconds. I was pretty blown away by her performance in this episode, and that scene in particular. It was truly a highlight of this season, and I never thought I'd say that about a scene not involving Ray and/or Shosh.

Ultimately, even good-decision-making Jessa still craves drama and an audience. I think she went in figuring that one of two things would happen: (a) she'd successfully keep Ace, or (b) she'd get to tell some people off. Win-win for her.

That was probably the most mature thing that Adam has done the entire series. For people wanting characters to make personal progress (and I'm right there with you), here it is. Adam showing actual self-awareness.
