I mean, fuck all, why is this country so full of such horrible people? As a diehard misanthrope, I kinda hate being right about my dim view of humanity. By all rights, this guy should be tied to a rock and left for the vultures, yet here he is making a movie. Kakkk.

Given what I’ve heard about the “thin blue line,” yeah, I’m going to assume that either the evidence was so overwhelming they could no longer cover it up and/or he was doing some truly fucked-up shit that even they didn’t want a part of.

I was just coming here to post something about this:

Oh, AND when he pronounced them as married, he called them “Mr. and Mrs. Hisfirstname Hislastname” even though they had a lengthy discussion at the rehearsal where she had explicitly told them she did not want that, and that was not what they were changing their name to (they both adapted hers as their middle name

Nah, but when a quarter of the country votes for a wrinkled bag of malignant pus over a supremely qualified WOMAN, feminists have a right to be angry.

Should be noted that Brian Bates is the owner of JohnTV. He basically videotapes and publicizes prostitutes and “johns” while engaged in sex. He has hired many women to “expose” clients. And has repeatedly broadcast the names, addresses, and other personal info of sex workers. He is also not a licensed investigator.

Do you have any idea how compelling evidence has to be for cops to go after one of their own?

Update: per OKC Artists for Justice’s Facebook page, the sign has been removed.

Time to raise money for a billboard in Oklahoma City of Timothy McVeigh with the slogan “What if he didn’t do it.” No one has a right to be upset by it.

i scrolled, saw the billboard and noped away

Is this the equivalent of Trump’s “many people are saying”, only more reprehensible?

Well, of course CRTV is doing this. Because, as Patton Oswalt reminded us after the election, it turns out this country is even more misogynistic than it is racist.

My husband, who is a feminist and a Hillary supporter, has asked me just not to engage at all. He’s trying to channel MObama and go high (or maybe he’s just high), but I’m not there yet. I may never get there. I’ve found myself crying in airports like I’ve lost a loved one. I literally spent the day after the election

Our minister did the whole “does anyone object” business which was literally THE ONE THING we told her not to say for our entire ceremony because my husband’s family is SO SHITTY we didn’t trust them not to say anything. We were both shocked and livid. Luckily no one did but seriously we were not pleased.

I have no clue, but it was some colossal bullshit. She was mad, but let it roll off because you know, wedding. I continue to be angry to this day on her behalf.

>AND when [the minister] pronounced them as married, he called them “Mr. and Mrs. Hisfirstname Hislastname” even though...she had explicitly told them she did not want that...

I’m literally driving through WV right now on the way to OH where I will be stuck with my right wing Trump supporting in-laws until I fly out Sunday. My husband and I are working out a strategy for handling the inevitable discussion. which mostly involves me not speaking for fear I will burst into rage tears and run

I’m not the only liberal, but I am the only one who will engage in lively debates with the rest of my conservative, Republican family. (We’re Mexican, so it’s especially frustrating). It gets exhausting not having backups.

Oh I’m pretty sure my mom already told everyone not to bring up politics or Trump or anything remotely republican related as “I’m too sensitive” and get set off easily on rants. I’m the only liberal in my family, aside from my kids and husband. And we will spending the holidays with a lot of religious right wingers.
