Kissinger was the principal architect of the worst parts of the Vietnam War. There was a reason why the person who Kissinger shared the Nobel Peace Prize with, declined to accept it. I would not cite Kissinger as the height of diplomacy or statecraft.

This just in - splitting up your conjunctions on the internet doesn’t ACTUALLY make you smarter!

No, Trump does not give us leverage or a “clean slate”!

When it’s done “all the time” it’s actually done on purpose. I can guarantee that after this mess started was the first time Trump had EVER heard of the One China Policy.

China considers Taiwan a breakaway province. It is their biggest national embarrassment, the biggest wound to their collective ego. You can call them out for their human rights abuses, and they’ll tsk tsk you. You can point out their utter regard for environmental issues, and they’ll brush it off with a wave of the

See...I would have been okay with an “outsider.” I would have been okay with someone with no “governing experience.” What I am absolutely not okay with is someone who does not have the intellectual curiosity to learn everything there is to learn about this new job he miraculously fell into, and would rather go on

Dumb people can live forever because they are never worried. Evil thrives because it is always in competition.

He’s always been a forked-tongue asshole. I cannot stand this despicable man.

I’ve abandoned all hope and am enjoying all my blessings as they are, in the here and now. And to all those that great our new overlords with hope in their hearts I leave this:

“People like Rumsfeld, Kissinger, and Cheney seem like they’re going to live forever.” The best medical care that blood money can buy, but also, even death doesn’t them.

Why is that, exactly?

We lost Bowie and Rickman.

I wanted the end of patriarchy completely, but we can’t have it all.

“Donald Trump is a phenomenon that foreign countries haven’t seen.”

Interesting perspectives all around. I always wonder what libraries do to prevent mice and other vermin, especially since I imagine they can be devastating to the books. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a library cat at a public library in Canada, but there are certainly some smaller bookstores and other shops that have

I think it depends with the dog too. My mom used to bring my dog to work. She’s a little nugget who doesn’t shed and doesn’t care much for human attention. She’d just sit in my moms desk and sleep. She’ll gladly accept pats if offered but she isn’t going to walk up and ask for them. Actually she’s kind of like a cat

The post does mention the cat was brought in for pest control, so Browser is a working cat. I’m a cat person too (obvious by my picture), I like that there is a legit reason to have a cat on the premises that’s more than cats just being awesome.

Librarian here. The matter of library cats is a controversial one, but a majority in the library world come down on their side. One of the main reasons actually is health and allergies — the reactions to pesticides, rodents, and rodent matter are typically way worse than to a cat.
