Biden does not have a magic wand. He needs a Congress that supports him so that he can add to the Supreme Court, and have that Roe v Wade decision reversed. It has been over 50 years since a sitting Dem president has had a majority Congress for their entire term.

Some of you guys need a refresher on basic American civics. Until Congress sends Biden a bill to sign that makes abortion legal in all 50 states or a Constitutional amendment that does the same, there’s not much he can do. The Supreme Court has spoken and the only way to override that is an act of Congress.

I have no issue with a man stepping aside to let a much more qualified woman speak on an issue that directly impacts women. Joe can cosign what she says, say he supports her enthusiastically, all while amplifying her voice here.

I guess I just don’t see how Joe is being a bad ally here. 

It’s not that Biden is ambivalent. He’s a Catholic. That doesn’t mean he isn’t fighting for a woman’s right to choose. It may not be his choice, but he does believe it’s a person’s choice. It’s disingenuous to call him ambivalent.

This just seems like smart politics to me.   Sending out a woman to be the countering face to the Republicans’ Old White Men Preaching About Abortion At Us is a no-brainer.
