The Japanese news here in Tokyo did this this morning. No mention of it being a gay nightclub. Just a nightclub. The commentators even asked why a nightclub would be targeted. So willfully stupid.

And also that it was a gay nightclub, on a Latin night, full of people of color.

How about the fact that it was Latin night in the so called nightclub, meaning a majority of our victims were Latinos looking to dance some merengue/bachata.

There was a white guy headed to the California parade with a car full of guns. This is first and foremost about homophobia, that much is clear. There is no focus on the victims or what it might mean at other pride events this month, and there should be.
