i think it’s a US/UK difference, probably because of a previously-named property conflict (like The Avengers/Avengers Assemble)

Does anyone know why Zootopia is referred to as Zootropolis in some places?

I think they are dogging on the idea that this movie is named for an is about a Princess/female lead, yet the trailer is almost exclusively focused on the male lead.

PEGOT!

I left a piece of my heart in Hawaii and I am pretty sure I’m going to sob throughout this entire movie.<3

If you’re going to have The Rock, can’t you have Maui *look* like The Rock? It’s such a waste /sigh

Every group gets copied. If a non-Italian creates a food inspired by pasta that’s neither stealing nor paying tribute. It’s just building on something that’s widely available. Anyone should be able to take a thing and build on it regardless of it’s origin. Borrowing from other cultures has led to significant amounts

I’m also not questioning the article, but yes, being from MA you are correct....she’s from Nantucket/Martha’s Vineyard and the accent on the island is close but not quite Boston. It’s more of a Rhode Island...I guess you could call it a “lesser” Boston accent. Which is kind of what she has.

Also not denying appropriation. But I thought dropping g’s was typical of all US accents. I’m probably going to start paying a lot more attention now.

OK, but now I’m not sure what that leaves for white people to sing.

“Wallace notices the Nantucket-born and bred singer dropping her g’s and utilizing what is understood to be African American Vernacular English.”

There once was a girl from Nantucket
with talent as deep as a bucket.
She tried to “sound black”
and wrote songs like a hack
so they gave her a Grammy when they should have said “Fuck it.”

Everyone I’ve ever met dislikes Trainor’s music; literally, everyone. How in the fuck is she really this popular? Must explain Trump, too.

OUTLAW COUNTRY!!

and since the show will come back, we’ll get to see if the never-die rule applies to Juliette Barnes.

I’m pumped, though this does throw a wrench into my fantasy of a Friday Night Lights spinoff staring Tami Taylor because Tami Taylor>Rayna James. Love me some Connie Britton, but lady can’t sing. Also, I agree re: Maddie and Layla. Maybe they could re-write things so that those two go join Zoe in L.A./land of

Yes! There may still be hope to recover Maddie’s character and and redeem her music!

I’ve always enjoyed Nashville, I think I will continue to enjoy it on a different network. Now Gawker Media needs to bring back Tracie Potochnik’s Nashville recaps and everything will be right with the (country music on tv) world.

Only dudebros support a guy named Brock.
