I have those too. Snapshots, or sometimes small scenes. It happens most often when I'm dreaming but can when I'm just daydreaming or thinking hard about something too. I was just telling someone that I wished I had a good way to actually make them useful.

This kind of thing happens to me all the time! Although I usually don't remember it until I'm in the "snapshot moment".
