I couldn’t disagree more. It was absolutely in character for Stan to let them go. He has a long history of letting his personal feelings cloud his judgement, of prioritizing people/relationships over country/duty (Nina, Oleg). He loved Philip and the Jennings. As he said, he would have done anything for them. And he

Philip saying that Renee might be a spy is one of the cruelest things he could’ve done to his best friend, even if it was with good intentions.

That garage scene was seriously one of the best things that’s ever been on TV.

“I would’ve worked in a factory.” [Pause] “Managed a factory.”

ABC: We’re bringing back Roseanne!

I know. Intolerance of intolerance is the worst kind of intolerance, isn’t it.

People sometimes comment on how we don’t get Jake and Gina scenes any more. I like to think it’s because he can’t stand her treatment of Amy.

The problem is in making a joke out of a situation that has deeply troubling undertones.

Gina planning on showing up in a white wedding dress cemented her as the worst. I know she makes fun of Amy, but this felt like a crossed line to me.

I agree with your quibble as a general sentiment, but in the case of Teddy it didn’t get to me because 1) the show never treats it as acceptable or normal 2) Teddy never expresses any entitlement to Amy and 3) Teddy is not a regular character.
This isn’t Boyle-Rosa during Season 1 (something they thankfully course

Holt’s moving of Jake and Amy’s honeymoon request from “pending” to “approved” made my heart grow three sizes.

“This is good, I love you so much.”

“For the last five years, it has been a true pleasure to watch your distracting, childish rivalry evolve into a distracting, childish courtship and now into what I’m sure will be a distracting, childish marriage.”

Not going to lie...I teared up when Jake started to cry after Amy gave him the “Your butt is da bomb. And there will be no survivors” line. The way Samberg delivered the “I love you so much. You’re my dream girl” through fighting ugly tears was perfect. So happy this is getting another season at NBC.

I have it in my head canon that Amy and Leslie met a binder convention years ago and remain steadfast penpals. Amy invited Leslie to her wedding and Leslie was excited to go but had a last minute work issue. She sent an incredibly thoughtful wedding present and heartfelt card to make up for it that made Jake cry.

I was also very Samberg-averse when the show began, but heard good enough things that I gave it a shot anyway, and he is really not irritating here the vast majority of the time, and even when he is, it’s more than outweighed by how enjoyable the other actors/characters are.

So much to love about this ep. I love how the show consistently shows that jake is into amy because of her nerdiness.

It’s more samberg-heavy at first because he was kinda the “star” of the show initially, but it gets a lot more ensemble right quick. It helps that his character is a really good cop to balance out how silly he is. Give it a shot, even season 1 has a couple of all-time classic episodes.

“How would you like to die today, motherfucker?”

Even in the Greys, the triumphant cry goes out:
