Are you saying that Rene having a guy saved his daughter? If he hadn't pulled out his gun the drug dealer wouldn't have shot so I'd say it was having a gun that ended up killing his wife.

The episode might be excused for not mentioning the Pulse nghtclub shooting, but NOT for failing to mention that Felicity was shot and paralyzed just a year ago. Worse, Felicity was the only character not allowed to give an opinion on the gun violence issue. A major fail of the show.
It's still creepy that the four older men were okay with her acting like a sex trade worker when the show opened with Human Trafficking Is Bad Enough To Get You Dead.
It was a stupid thing to say If Olicity fans didn't like what happened in tht episode, it would be the next episode where viewership dropped. not that one (which aired during game 7 of the World Series).
Thank you for taking back your previous remark about Felicity.
Has there really been storytelling, or just reasons for more masks and more fight scenes? The lack of real storytelling in the present has been my big problem this season.
Arrow gets into people's heads only if they have a penis. If you're a woman, you're sool. Do you have any idea of why Evelyn is doing this if you didn't see the episode last season? Felicity's big Havenrock arc was all about setting up Ragman and Det Tiny Hands has a real job and a potential plotline (ACU), which…
It was a good, solid opener.
Diggle's been in the basement so there would be an excuse for the two weakest fighters, Roy and Laurel, to be in the field.
Don't worry, the show will give you lots of reasons to decrease your love for Felicity as they try to replace her role with Laurel.
Diggle, Felicity's and Roy's points were that he should stop carrying the team on his back and let them make their own decision. They're not dummies and they've been right before while Oliver has been wrong so stop acting like they're robots.
The mutiny was just more bad writing. There is a point because Oliver needs to stop being an autocratic but it was badly handled.
" And if in the end we’re all more excited about a new episode of The Flash than The Affair, maybe that says something about what’s really the best that TV has to offer."
No, if Oliver really loves Felicity, he can't be banging around for the next 3 years.
Do you think Laurel understood Oliver? She pushed him to move in together when he wasn't ready to (she was looking at apartments and Oliver was sleeping with Sara, maybe because he was feeling trapped) and she was already planning their wedding. Maybe she didn't know he was sleeping around on her or maybe she…
Her real father is Malcolm Merlyn, the man who had Robert Queen killed and almost killed Oliver, and blew up 587 people because he was too busy to answer her phone call as she lay dying.
It's true that he was in a relationship with her the longest but she didn't know he was cheating on her, which his mother knew and so did Sara. Tommy probably knew too. She also thought that he wanted to live with her (which he didn't) and that they would get engaged and married in a year.
I agree.
I think the reason he snapped out of it was because of the information that she gave him, that the new mayor of Starling City is working with Sebastian Blood. That made him realize that even if he sacrificed himself, it still wouldn't be over. It was nothing to do with Tommy or any other emotional connection.
Felicity's speech didn't work because the writers wanted to prop Laurel. Laurel's speech didn't make sense in terms of the world of the show.
