And then the same guys who defend “locker room talk” get mad at feminists for being paranoid about rape and sexual assault, and acting like all men are criminals. Seriously, you’re going to tell us that ALL men talk like that, but then pull out #notallmen when we talk about sexual assault? Don’t claim that all men…
This response is wonderful.
I understand that very well, but in this case, I am only referring to the way Trump and his supporters brushed off the recorded conversation that reminded the media what he was really like and the way the women from the soccer team (very effectively) referenced the phrase in their reply.
So I skimmed the linked post.
There is nothing remotely christian or even religious about this totally vile, hateful event. If they want to go for something religious and horrifying, they can just reenact the crucifixion.
Nope. You were just uncivil and added nothing of value to the discussion. My students literally never cross paths with the pastor or the parishioners, except for the custodian, who happens to be a member and is too busy to proselytize to anyone.
Losing 20 jobs is his resume for soul saving? Now that’s niche!
The office-using part might not, but even well-off schools rent their facilities. You can never have too much money for education.
I think the answer is ‘Merica-Freedom-Jesus-’Merica-great-again?
What’s happening is that some nut cases are not being allowed to stage scenes of extreme, frightening violence in a facility where little kids spend their days. These big Hell houses take days to build out and plenty of rehearsals before opening on the weekend before Halloween. It takes a bona fide monster to think he…
Look, I could go into great detail explaining to you why my school isn’t funded. I’m well versed in this area. Perhaps you should quit making assumptions.
The encroachment of evangelicals and public life never ceases. They’ve been successfully breaking down the wall between church and state for years, all under the guise of looking “wholesome”. There is nothing wholesome about theocracy
A lot of public schools rent space to churches and other organizations over the weekends. The school I work at does. There is a church that rents our auditorium every weekend. The church does not operate during school hours, but the parishioners do a lot of good works for the school. They prepare the bulletin boards…
Nope. I work for a public library, and religious and political uses of our meeting spaces are specifically forbidden by our policies. Cause, you know, wall of separation and all that. we are a government entity.
Same way a creation museum shaped like Noah’s Ark can get an $18 million tax break.
Same reason Christian organizations are allowed to teach abstinence-only sex ed programs in government-funded public schools, I guess.
My question is this: How is a Christian organization allowed to do a “Christian interactive experience” haunted house in a government funded public school?
