I’m actually a physician. A “correctable rhythm” for one of those AED’s doesn't include no pulse like we can restart at a clinic/hospital.

MD here - also, unless there was an RN/MD/PA/NP on the plane, who would start the IV? Also, portable AED’s aren't strong enough to restart a heart from NO pulse, that's the kind of stuff that has to be done with a clinical AED - such as in a hospital/office/ambulance.
Also, for the record, portable AED’s won't deliver a shock with no pulse. They're not as strong as the ones at offices/hospitals.
Serious question: they have IVSs and starter kits on planes? Because in most jurisdictions - of course planes may be different - IVs can only be started by an RN/MD after an RX for the IVS.
