I’m trying to wrap my head around the sight of Prince and Sinead O’Connor involved in a foot chase through L.A. in the middle of the night and NOT have “Yakety Sax” play in my head when I do.

Take my star and my best reaction GIF

She speaks for the Administration, not herself. And saying abortion instead of pro choice gives the Republicans this talking point:

Glover is right. And so is Bill Maher. THAT is why Bill Maher “still has a show” - because he’s not afraid of saying the truth.

come on now. is the av club really this obtuse?

The best episode of Community is no longer available on Netflix.

No matter how many times we say “cancel culture is a myth,” it doesn’t make it true. I wish we could just acknowledge that so-called cancel culture has some negative implications along with all the positive effects (accountability, etc.).

He’s also played by digital Tig Notaro.

I will likely suffer through this like I did through the Snyder Cut, merely because his movies are (regrettably) culturally significant. Just noting that I’m not surprised he is stuffing the movie with references to better films...that “technique” was basically all of Sucker Punch. If there was ever a better example

Well, you are quite the repulsive little shit, aren’t you.

See, Ray? These are called details.

It baffles me that I keep encountering the idea that this woman is somehow the underdog or even a hero after this moment of colossal and self-inflicted fuckery.

One of the most fun aspects of the original series is how McCall’s “team” was pretty much ad hoc and mostly reluctant, but helping out as a favor to him.

coolest thing: Underneath the bar is a sleek, high-tech hacking operation.

That initial fight scene was “fence jump from Taken 3" levels of insane editing where it was obvious Queen Latifah can’t actually fight like that.

He was kind of jackass-y for a good chunk of the movie, but Danny was the romantic hero. I guess you could argue that Sandy changed him for the better or he changed himself.

Nice pull of a deep cut from Mad Magazine.

Uhhh... arent the dudes supposed to be scumbags? Like they are the “cool” guys but they are all pieces of shit and as mentioned its a 70's movie about pieces of shit in the 50's. Problematic guys doing problematic things does not make a movie problematic.

*Raises Hand*

That’s why I never take an information as granted anymore.
