I like Jessie and am glad she was spared, but I'm still mad at her for putting up that dish at this point in time. Who the hell (with an option) is going to cook chicken breast when you have no control over the timing of when someone's going to actually eat your dish? Always cook chicken thighs. Always. And braise

It's not white trash, it's a South Philly accent. This does not mean that she is not white trash, but her accent is a regional one. Now let's all go get some wooder ice.

I mean, he was speaking hyperbolically… He was saying he had no clue what to do with it. He was aware there are some birds you serve medium rare, and some birds that have to be cooked all the way through, and didn't know what the hell the situation with the quail was. Poor quail, can be so delicious if you treat the

Right, and they even included where she said that she learned from what Gordon had taught her last time they cooked that kind of bird and did the touch test. It's not like it's hard!

I'm re-reading Snow Crash (which, woah, totally different reading the second time, now that I'm no longer a history major but now a web product manager), which made me have a pretty enthusiastic response to the video game episode. Particularly Abed's on the fly customization!

Glee and I have been enjoying a nice little bit of time away from each other, but I switched to 'Nationals' almost by accident after Cougar Town, and I'm glad I did. I'm happy I got to see the kids come full circle and win their championship. Will and Emma's, uh, seduction scene was thoroughly creepy, though.

I'm an Indians fan, but I live in Boston, so I got to watch the whole thing - that game was something else. I love when professional sports get all weird and school-yard-y. Super props to Davis' pitching skills, I still find it quite ironic that the DH failed at hitting but got the pitching W. I thank you guys for

WOO, Indians take 2 of 3 from Texas. Still pumped - go Tribe.

"A man's got to have a code" and the ensuing look were enough to seal the deal for me. Omar's gonna get me forever!

YES!!!!!! OMG I just watched it and had the same thought.

I think the fact that this post is driving AV Clubbers to the game can be proven by the fact that "Knope" was a top answer for "Who is the most famous Leslie?" And I'm proud of us.

@avclub-7833d176ad6f6dde5efc95848e6f47a8:disqus Maybe it's my 4pm-on-a-Friday mood but that just made me laugh really hard for a solid 30 seconds. Awesome.

I get in probably bi-weekly fights with my friends about this. I couldn't give a rat fart about who the Mother is. For me, HIMYM is about ALL of the characters.

Or even go to Hulu or Netflix or the internet in general, not just basic cable.

Tip to taint.

TRUE STORY: My parents' German Shepherd dog is trained in Japanese, not English. I was CRACKING up at Chris' dog training advice. I too am now fluent in Japanese (dog commands)!

You mean, sah kyhute

Paul's a semi-finalist for the Best Chef: Southwest James Beard award this year. Imagine what he could do if he wins both that and Top Chef in the same year! Or, if he lost, at least he knows he's the only one in this year's cast nominated for a James Beard.
