He almost got Dylan and Caleb killed, he blackmailed Norma because he knew about Dylan's parentage, and he helped Norma/n cover up Caleb's murder. He had it coming a long time ago.

I think a lot of viewers have a very short memory when it comes to Chick. If you look at the AV Club comments from the earlier seasons with him, most people didn't seem to care for the character.

Agreed. He was exploiting Norman's situation for personal gain. And let's not forget about him blackmailing Norma about Caleb.
