I felt the same way when I was younger. I think it was really all down to the characters. From what I remember, Hanks’s character was a bit of a lovable doofus, and Scolari’s was the smart one.
If I’m watching HGTV, it’s usually because I’m in a hotel or housesitting.
I’m hoping that the magazine is called Shiplap’d.
Agreed. I stopped following her on Instagram a couple of weeks ago because all she seems to be posting now are red carpet pics and stills from the wedding date movie (which looks excrutiatingly horrible to me).
Agreed. There are couple of games that my group of friends play seldom enough that we forget some of the simple rules, but if I play the online/app version, I always rely it’s game play to be using the right rules. Ticket to Ride is a prime example of this because someone in our group always questions whether you can…
Tutorials on BGG is a good suggestion, as well. Reading is my worst learning style, so I’d prefer to watch videos (e.g., Rahdo Runs Through) or playing a mock game.
I think part of that is the bad focus of the picture overall. Add in the grain from a film negative, and it’s making it look fuzzy. You still can’t see the detail on it this this picture, but you can tell it’s a pin with a flat backing (like a cameo).
I think it’s an actual cameo that didn’t photo well, probably because of bad lighting. If it was too shiny or the detail was well worn, it could either reflect back too much light or not have enough contrast to show the detail.
That one freaked me out. Every time I hear a noise that sounds like it might be coming from my attic, I think about it.
I enjoyed the Dublin Murder Squad books by Tana French. They’re pretty dark and have a central mystery, but they aren’t really wrapped up in a neat bow at the end like other detective novels. And while the whole series is connected, the central protagonist changes each book. (For example, the protagonist in the second…
Also, George W and Laura Bush live in Dallas, so there’s a local connection as well.
Victorian houses always look like haunted houses or whorehouses to me. I blame Scooby Doo and Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
I was also going to say Iran hostages, although I mostly remember more of the yellow ribbons than the actual hostage situation. I definitely didn’t understand what the ribbons were for. BUT I more distinctly remember riding in the car and someone talk about either Elvis dying or the anniversary of his death.
Is that gif from Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte? I love that movie! She is amazing, as is Bette Davis.
You aren’t alone. I haven’t left my place in 48 hours because I refuse to go out when the heat index is 106 unless I absolutely must. All I’ve done is watched movies and take two naps.
I think Shannon and Stacy were both considered boy names until the early- 0r mid-20th century. The same is true with Leslie.
Yes and no. The first one was a prequel (when Kathryn and Sebastian first meet) made from the recut pilot for Manchester Prep. The second had different set of characters, one of whom was related to Kathryn.
You’re right, but the packaging at World Market doesn’t say Tim Tams anywhere on it, so if anyone goes there looking for Tim Tams, they possibly won’t realize the cookies labeled Arnott’s are the same thing (unless they’ve had Tim Tams before).
At World Market, they are under the brand name Arnotts, not Tim Tam. But they are still delicious!
