My favorite part about staying at the Ambassador East in Chicago is that it was one of the filming locations of North by Northwest. To have been where Cary Grant was once is magical.

I wish I could give you all the stars. Yes, there are similarities, but there are many differences, as you pointed out.
I came for the Wookie comments, and you did not disappointment me.
Yep. The only other alternative is visiting each friend’s personal timeline, and nobody has time for that.
Ugh — I curated my Instagram feed myself by deciding who I’m going to follow. I don’t want things out of chronological order. If I want to see what someone had for breakfast, I’ll be sure I scroll through my feed until I come to the point I left off last.
I’ve noticed that selecting to see recent posts does but things in chronological order by activity (although that might mean the activity of a comment, not the original post); however, it also sometimes leaves out posts, especially if someone creates two posts in a short amount of time. So, it’s still using an…
I completely agree. I really like the YNAB system and it’s helped me focus on a budget and finances better, but I would have never started using it with their new model because it’s just one more recurring expense.
I usually do pretty well the first round by picking the colleges that I only know exist because they are in the tournament every year. Unfortunately, everything then seems to fall apart during the second round.
YNAB doesn’t connect to your bank. Instead, you have to visit the bank’s website and download the QFX file which is used to import the data into YNAB.
I agree. I think this dress is pretty, but it does look rigid. I’d ask the bride if she felt like she would be comfortable wearing it for hours — sitting in it, dancing in it, etc. I think too many brides consider only how pretty it looks and not how they are going to feel and function with it on for longer than five…
I definitely think she doesn’t like it, but I also agree with exactly what she said. It’s a pretty dress, but it does look rigid. Maybe it’s because she’s afraid of the clips coming undone in the back, but she looks kind of stiff and uncomfortable in it.
I still have the Clue novelization, it has an extra alternate ending that wasn’t included in the movie. I also have my older sister’s Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi novelizations, but I never got around to reading them.
I couldn’t make it past one season on Grey’s Anatomy. I found most of the female characters whiney and insufferable. Just like Ally McBeal before, it seemed to have the guise of being about a strong, independent career woman but was in fact about a co-dependent woman who focused more on her love life than her career.
It’s closer to 1/5. The first episode was about the circumstances of the rape conviction, and the second focused on his lawsuit against those who had helped get him convicted. The third episode begins with the disappearance and murder of Teresa Halbach, and that is the focus for the remainder of the episodes.
I watched Full House when I was a tween (I’m 40 now). My mom hated it, and I just didn’t understand why. About ten years ago, I tried to watch an episode that I found while channel surfing. I immediately called my mom and apologized for ever making her watch that. It might be funny to kids, but the show is awful.
I’ve been shopping at Amazon since at least 2002, and it’s only allowing me to view orders since 2007. I know that I’ve changed email addresses during that time (from a local internet provider to gmail), but I don’t think I created a new account for the new email address. (Plus, I think I’ve had my gmail account since…
I think they were mostly gowns from the early to mid 1980s. Honestly, the majority of good gowns came after she and Charles divorced, and I doubt the Historic Royal Palaces would even have access to them.
I remember watching the wedding and being utterly convinced that the Queen Mum was the old blue-haired lady I’d seen at Winn Dixie the previous week.
Kensington Palace has a royal gowns exhibition that features those worn by Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret and Diana. Even though Diana was considered a fashion icon, her gowns are the absolute ugliest things in that whole exhibit.
I flew into UK and Ireland last year, and I think they both required fingerprint scans.
