It was! But that could be the five gin-based drinks I had to drink that afternoon talking. One of my favorite parts was getting to do a G&T taste test with my gin vs their gin. I definitely recommend a stop by the COLD gin bar to anyone living in or visiting London.

I did a gin making experience at City of London Distillery last year, and it was completely amazing. You had to use the three base ingredients (juniper, coriander, and angelica root), but could decide how much of each you put in yours. Then you could add whatever additional aromatics you preferred (out of about 2-3

Not to mention that the original movie wasn’t completely true to the source material. The books were contemporary to the time they were written (late 1930s) and not Edwardian England. The Banks also had twin babies.

The ability to use old lenses is why I still use Pentax. My first “real” camera in high school was Pentax K1000, and the 50mm lens I got with it is the best in my collection (except that it’s manual).

I’ll done something similar to this. It might not have saved a ton of time, but it definitely helped me eat a healthier lunch.

I think preference partly depends on what you are used to. I grew up in an area with hard water, and it’s still my favorite water to drink. I love my water to be heavy and full of minerals. I can’t bare to drink water at my friends’ houses that have water softeners because I think it tastes salty and fluffy.

Those weren’t my words — I was quoting what was written in the post.

Except that there are very good reasons why new treatments that haven’t been thoroughly studied aren’t rushed to all patients. In fact, the article mentions two of them:

I just started watching Game of Thrones last summer (and had never read the books), and I was completely caught of guard when Ned Stark died because I thought he was a main character. Half the meme’s I saw that used pictures from GoT had a picture of Ned Stark, so I just assumed he was still on the show.

My parsley sprouted about two days ago. My cilantro has made no progress, so I’m afraid it’s a dud pod.

I think this might be the case. Mine was filed on Jan 23 and I’ve already received my refund. Someone else in this thread said they filed earlier than that but haven’t received it yet. I always have a super easy return (one income source, no mortgage, not student loans, etc.) so it probably gets approved more quickly

Mine seemed to be stuck in the “Return Received” category on the IRS Refund Status website for longer than usual this year. Yesterday, it finally changed to “Return Approved”. An hour later, I checked my bank account to see if another deposit had been processed, and I noticed that my refund had already been credited

I think the older models were loud when the pump ran, but this model (Aero Harvest) is pretty quiet. When I do hear it, it’s a small click sound when the pump kicks on and the barely audible sound of water trickling.

I bought an Aerogarden when they were on sale via Amazon a couple of weeks ago. I “planted” three romaine pods, and they are growing really fast. I could probably prune off enough right now to add to a sandwich. I definitely don’t have enough for a salad yet but probably will within a week or two.

My friend and I have a whole backstory written about how Dan Rydell and Josh Lyman are cousins.

He was one of my kid crushes ever since Dead Poets Society. All my friends were drooling over Ethan Hawke and Robert Sean Leonard, but Josh Charles was mine. In the early 2000s (about a year after Sports Night was cancelled), I met him at a celebrity golf tournament and he was sadly unpersonable and awkward. I think

Based on the lyric changes and song list, it looks like it was a hodge podge of the current stage version that’s been in use since the 1992 London and 1993 Broadway Revivals (when they added in songs written for the movie) and the movie Grease (e.g., moving “We Go Together” from the end of Act 1 to the end of Act 2).

It looks like they used the most recent book for the musical, which has been quite sanitized over the years.

Oops — it is “draggin’ wagon”. I found a list of changes from the 1972 version to the one available today.

Now playing

I found the 1972 Broadway recording on YouTube. It was definitely “pussy wagon” back then. It must have changed for the 1993 London revival as those changes were used in the 1994 Broadway revival (“dragon wagon” was used then per the soundtrack clips on iTunes).
