Silver constantly warned that this election was different given the volatility in the polls and the large amount of undecided voters. He also warned that there was a significant possibility that Trump would win the Electoral College, but would lose the popular vote. Nate Cohn at the Upshot, however, was completely…
Nate Silver’s model was the only one which gave Trump a good chance of winning. Take it up with the Huffington Post and Sam Wang; they gave Clinton close to a 99% chance of winning....
If anyone still thinks Bernie would’ve won the general, look at this oppo research that could’ve been used. Uffda.
SUPPORT THE ACLU
This is what kills me about the idea that we should election “non-politicians” to public office of any kind - and this is an idea that comes from both sides of the isle.
And you know what’s going to be even better: he’s not going to be able to do his stupid fucking rallies to boost his ego anymore.
This. Plenty of middle and upper class people voted for Trump. We didn’t see them making fools of themselves by frothing at the mouth during campaign rallies. We didn’t see them put signs in their yards. Instead, they just quietly pressed the button with (R) next to it when the election came. The media found a very…
You know what pisses me off? I know a LOT of people who are fucking rich white Southerners who haven’t felt SHIT for pain from the recession. Their kids aren’t on meth. They haven’t lost their jobs. They’re just assholes who want smaller government because that means they’ll pay less taxes. Those people tipped…
Trump is more like Sarumann
What blows me away about Donald Trump is his ability to paint himself as some titan of industry. He’s a man who got a “small loan” of $14 million dollars back in the 1970's (a little over $79M in current dollars) and an inheritance of over $200M in the early 80's ($1.1G in current dollars). Forbes last week estimated…
I dated a “well endowed” girl in college who rode. I never saw her get above a canter for fear of “releasing the hounds”.
come get your boy, Corey.
I feel like this is a safe space for me to rail against the Green Party (and all “third” parties in the U.S.) for a second.
I won't lie, I teared up when she cast her votes.
They are going through the ‘7 stages of grief’, and have passed through denial, but are stuck on anger. If Bernie had pulled the plug months ago, they would have had time to adjust
Look, originally, I liked Bernie as a candidate. I saw all of his views and aspirations as an advancement of progressivism that barely any other candidate has put forward in recent years.
Funny how some self-professed progressives are going to “protest” the corrupt DNC by allowing their fellow women/minority citizens to experience the biggest setback to their constitutional rights in decades, if not centuries.
And there it is. It is no longer about Sanders, if it ever was. It's just about your precious unsustainable imaginary future and not the hard god damn work it's going to take to get there. Privilege plain and simple, what will it hurt if Trump gets elected? They won't feel any pain from his insanity.
