@Gann: I knew about their cheese section, but I somehow missed that goat cheese! Thank you! I will buy it soon.

This seems like a bit of overkill, but I have a couple friends who could really use it.

@arras: And if you are going to break the rules, be there to watch it!

@Curves: I have no idea what size to get! I think that I would regularly use it to cook for 3 people and occasionally want to cook a lot of soup, though I could always cook the soup on the stove (like I'm doing now). I wouldn't have to worry about cooking whole chickens or anything (I'm veggy), but I'm seeing from

@12345: Also, potato buds. And quinoa. You might be able to pull off soup (you can at least pull off the microwavable ones). And hot cocoa. It's a drink, but it's so needed in the winter!

@Bioengineered Smoothie: 1.5 minutes? My low power microwave might make okay eggs like that (though I prefer a runny center), but my microwave at home takes about 20 seconds. It might even take less. I definitely agree about watching them. Also, even if they don't explode when you cook them, they can definitely

@moe52: I haven't ever happen with my microwave, but I certainly remember it from Chem class! It can't hurt to put something (non-metal) in.

@Curves: I really should do this. I think I'd eat a lot better if I could prepare the meal ahead of time. I often end up eating something easier because I don't feel like waiting or cooking at the time. I like cooking in general.

@12345: They must let you have microwaves too, right? At least low powered ones? If so, you have many options. If not, there's a lot of food at CVS/Walgreens etc. that you add water and microwave that you should be able to just add the appropriate amount of hot/boiling water to cook. They have Italian, Chinese,

@Gann: Both sound pretty good, though I would definitely remove the pepperoni from the first and maybe remove the shallots from the second. All and all, good tips!

@shazaam42: Yeah, but a white board or chalk board could do the same thing, only more public (the girlfriend could walk in and see it).

@onaclov2000: I would use the same sections. The chores section would let me know what random stuff my roommate wants me to do before she's mad I'm not doing it (right now, we're working off of psychic messages and I'm pretty bad at it) and the bills section would remind her, "Hey, you haven't paid your part of the

@Tim Raines: While I think that instant syncing would be great, I would not want to sync my google calendar with my current roommate. It'd be fine for a spouse or friend, but we don't even have each other added on facebook.

@Joel: Or maybe he doesn't like dealing with conflict. Either way, it sounds like it would help plenty. I'm like your roommate (minus the using up paper towels and I keep the mess in my bedroom), and this would work really well for me!

@throwinshapes: I prefer using a computer both for notes and reading. I like being able to change the text size and line length of my books (which I do with kindle for pc). Notes that I write are useless. I can't read them.

@shueybalooey: I'll do that for things like writing down what my assignment is, but I take WAY too many notes to do that for note taking. I use my computer for that!

@geekening: See, I do far better taking notes on my computer. I can read them, and I can also type faster than I can write, so I can have the time to think about what is being said instead of just enough time to write down the short version and move on.

@conscienceking10: But my tech department is only giving out '07 for free right now. We have to pay a couple dollars for 2010.
