Even Star Wars, the one movie most people will pick as his high point as a director, was largely saved in the editing bay.

Not sure how Lucas’s status as an “artist” is backed up by an article that takes great lengths to point out how lousy his scripts were.
I’ve never quite understood the reverence for him as a film maker. His reputation lies in the production of two film series, both of which are notable for how much better the films he’s…
My favorite bit from this film is the running gag Jackson lifts from “Man Bites Dog” where Denham keeps losing members of his film crew and vows to keep on going to honor their memory.
I’ve said it before and it’s been said by others but The Prequels were a good story told terribly and The Sequels on the whole (I quite liked The Last Jedi.) were a bad story told really well.
These movies have been delightful. They recently have become my youngest sons favorite movie and they are so much fun.
Agreed!

The one time in my life that I almost got in a bar fight, I was playing pool with some strangers who started beefing with this two drunk dudes, and one of the drunk dudes, in the middle of screaming at the other guys, just came up to me and screamed WHAT DO YOU DO, PHYSICS?! He then proceeded to knock the living hell…
As an asian myself, i’ve long said that Asians were the last “safe” minority to go after. Anti-asian racism seems more like a quaint vestige of America’s racist past. There was no Chinese slavery (mostly) and there was no constant, high-profile struggle for Asian civil rights, largely because the population was so…
oh damn should’ve made that clearer: DTMFA
During my college years in Wisconsin, the trunk of my car was often an extension of the freezer that we referred to as the Buick-erator.
These are really awesome. But I’m going to have to look at them only a couple slides at a time, because after the first two I have to declare this the most frustrating slideshow yet. The loading of embedded tweets within slides? Well, that’s just a new level of hell.
I am guessing that this conversation took place just before the whole Whedon discussion blew up. This is not a defense of him, but it also seems clear that different actors’ mileage varied greatly with him. He also gave immeasurable career boosts to numerous actors. Some of them, like Charisma Carpenter in particular,…
So, for the guy with the low sex drive...I try not to smoke weed before sex because it makes the sex too good for non-high weed to compare with but maybe you should try just asking him to commit to (a) setting aside time and doing his best and then (b) getting high and giving it at least an hour of cuddling to see if…
I don’t get that the BF in this scenario is so upset when his GF tells him she’s masturbating. Problem solved, dude. If she’s willing to let you, watch her stroke herself wet, then when she’s ready, plow her like the Nile valley.
Our anniversary is Feb 11, so we get to enjoy a nice evening out when it’s not crazy.
Exactly. Me and the wife even gave up giving gifts to each other years ago. We make or order a nice meal and my kids make home made valentines for us.
Just watched Pushing Daises and it was a surprise to see her turn up. I always assumed she got Hannibal from being Laurence Fishburne’s wife. But I guess it was sort of the other way around.
COMA - my dad died a little over 18 years ago, and we were all there that night, except for my dad who had been unconscious for hours.
Spot on with the advice to COMA. She loved her dad, it very much sounds like her dad loved her, and both of them knew it. The opinion of anyone else is utterly fucking irrelevant.
