I can’t believe that this is not a bigger deal in the media, and I can’t believe this administration is not applying maximum pressure on Russia to bring Griner back home.  This is outrageous to me.

People act like wearing a mask for a couple hours on an air conditioned plane where you sit in your seat for 99% of the time is so insufferable.

It’s pretty clear that at least part of the reason that the mandate got extended again is because we need a complete strategy for handling domestic and international travel for citizens and visitors, and we don’t have that now. But it’s fine, it’s all just fine.

Truly love how as a society, we have our house on fire, and are constantly deciding to send the fire department home, and remove any fire preventing measures; sprinklers, fire resistant material to our home.

That is fine, but if you are sick and board a plane and others become sick because of your lack of responsibility, then you should be held accountable. Not that hard to figure out which one the passengers infected the other ones, minimal contact tracing and a manifest is all that is needed.

Well, on the funny note, my friend apparently got covid on the flight on Thursday from LA to NY. He isn’t doing well right now. Good times, man, good times.

I’m in the same camp. Wearing a mask everywhere has kept me cold and flu free for 2 years now. Kinda amazing how that works. Now when I take sick days from work it’s to go enjoy nice day or work on the house.

It’s fucked up that they did this midflight, with people that only felt comfortable flying because everyone was going to wear masks and that ended midflight in a space they didn’t have the option of leaving (like a restaurant or store). I was on a flight on Sunday with a child and we wouldn’t have flown without…
