But I’m much more attracted to someone who seems kind, intelligent, funny, and fairly comfortable in their own skin, regardless of what that looks like exactly.

Another unforced error was when he endorsed an anti-choice candidate for mayor of Omaha, Nebraska. There was no reason for him to get involved in that race, but he went out of his way to show that he’s cool with politicians who would vote against abortion rights.
I’m so fucking sick of this weird myth that scientists are “just in it for the money” and raking in these big paychecks. My husband works for NASA (not a scientist, but scientist-adjacent) and he has to deal with assholes saying this kind of shit and it’s infuriating.
My absolute favorite album of the year was Young Enough from Charly Bliss. It’s filled with gorgeous, wistful, dancey music and I listen to the album straight through probably once a week, at least. Here’s the video for the title track:
And I see this as a good thing, honestly. Keeping TV shows like Agents of SHIELD and the Netflix/Defenders shows semi-connected (Jessica saying “The guy with the shield” or “the green guy” in the first season) was getting weird and distracting.
Ah. Thanks for clearing that up for me!
I’m hoping for some Atomic Blonde vibes from the soundtrack.
How is Tom Hanks a supporting nomination? It’s a Mr. Rogers biopic, and he’s playing Mr. Rogers, so that seems pretty “lead actor” to me. Am I missing something (I haven’t seen it) or is this just your run-of-the-mill award show nomination fuckery?
Right? I planned on waiting until the Marvel original shows started coming out to get Disney+. Then I saw Baby Yoda and it was all over.
I got distinct Eve and Villanelle vibes from that apartment fight.
They were planning to film to versions of the same scene— one with the puppet, and one without that they would insert a CGI Baby Yoda into in post. Herzog saved us form the uncanny valley version, and ensured that we would all be blessed by the One True Baby Yoda.
Lentil’s still out here doing good work, and he’s got a couple other dogs (and I think a turkey too? They live on a farm) with issues like cleft palates making these visits and working with kids. I think it’s great. It makes kids with disabilities/irregularities feel better about themselves, and it teaches other kids…
Chrissy’s Tweet this morning was perfect. I honestly feel like this might have been her actual reaction when she first learned this news.
“Abraham Lincoln was famously, even within his own Cabinet, surrounded by people who were former political adversaries.”
Re: Jeff opening his mouth on this subject...
(and there is no one else for that role but Linda Hamilton)
The mustache is fine I guess, but how does his name sound being shouted while you throw a molotov cocktail?
We never really talked about sex in my family (culturally Irish Catholic), but I always knew they trusted me. As a result, my own fear of disappointing them led me to pretty much never break any rules or rebel, and my own extreme awkwardness “protected” me from sex far better than any bullshit posturing from my dad.
I said watching it last night, “It’s like they took Jean Smart’s Legion character and just ramped up the awesomeness.”
Remember a couple Halloweens ago when he misunderstood the concept of socialism re: his kids’ candy?
