This show needs at least one woman in the writer’s room, because Pizzolatto has spent two seasons proving he can’t write women worth a damn. Every woman in season 1 could be summed up as either a Madonna or a Whore (and that was the extent of her characterization) and his idea of going in depth on a female character

I didn’t know how much I needed this pairing until just this moment. Bless you.

He was SO GOOD, and the second half of the seasons was such a let down. It was a bold move to take out the guy who we thought was the season’s big bad so early on that part of me thought it was a great twist, but the risk really didn’t pay off because the true villain was so lame.

It’s our first 4th in our new house, and my husband and I were going to check out the local fireworks, but it turns out someone in our neighborhood likes to set off their own. So now we’re staying in because it’s stressing out our dogs. They’ve never minded fireworks in the past, but I think it’s freaking them out

Holly Marie Combs has such gorgeous hair. Piper was always my favorite Charmed One.

I can’t blame her for wanting a character trait other than “Dom’s ride or die girl.” I’m worried that the next movie will totally sideline Letty by having her take care of Dom’s kid and diminish her role even further, the way they did to Mia once she and Brian had a kid (ie, only basically not in the movie at all,

Gal is in 4 of them— starting with 4 (Fast and Furious— not to be confused with The Fast and the Furious). They’re dumb fun, and she gets to do some ass kicking and cool driving. Actually, start with 5 if you’re just watching for Gal— in 4 she’s mostly there to be hot and flirt with Vin Diesel.

Agreed. You can basically start with 4 and not have missed anything worthwhile. With 4 they basically turned into heist movies— like Ocean’s 11 with car stunts— and they’ve been a ton of fun ever since.

And Carrie Fisher is there too, adding some levity.

My mom and I frequently have similar conversations about my dad who died at 55. The go-to example used to be George Steinbrenner, but now it’s pretty much any of these fuckers in the White House.

Bowie’s was the hardest I’ve ever been hit by a celebrity death (Carrie Fisher was a close second). The Goblin King was my first-ever crush. I was traveling for work when he died. I remember turning on the news as I was getting out of bed and hearing his name, and getting really close to the screen to see the crawler

That is the appropriate response to this nonsense.

My pittie has NO concept of how big he is, and he loves HARD. He’ll sit on people with no warning, but his tail is brutal. It’s like a whip, and he’s always SO HAPPY, so it’s always going. Sometimes he makes people nervous when he first meets them because it looks like he’s snarling, but actually it’s that he’s pulled

My husband’s had an undercut for a few years now, and when he first got it, he referenced Boardwalk Empire to his barber. He wears it like this, with the top long and slicked back:

I hope she does sue. I can’t imagine the trauma she and her daughter are coping with.

Our tax dollars at work!

He is the best part of the show. Every episode Jared says something so amazingly weird that I shriek with laughter. But then in last weekend’s episode when he snapped at Richard, he was so good at being heartbroken and disappointed, it was beautiful. Zach Woods totally deserves a best supporting actor nomination.

I thought Hamm’s appearance on 2 Dope Queens was cute, but I think maybe Jessica and Phoebe are so good they make everyone better.

YES. Matt and Jonah are so much funnier than Hardwick is on the Nerdist, but he never shuts up. I finally had to stop listening to it. And he’s the same way on @Midnight! I don’t need five minutes of standup before we even get to the guests. I don’t understand why Chris Hardwick is becoming the go-to host for things,
