It must have been “John Miller” saying those things.

That’s BEAUTIFUL.
She totally reverse psychology’d him so she could wear her red suit.
For people who like the Gentlemen Bastards, I recommend the Rogues of the Republic series, beginning with The Palace Job, by Patrick Weekes. It’s another fun fantasy series, and this one has a really diverse ensemble cast.
FYI: I’ll be watching the debate on Bloomberg TV tonight, as they’ve announced that they’ll be conducting onscreen fact-checking in real time.
I just finished Fellside by MR Carey this weekend, and fucking loved it. His last book, The Girl with All the Gifts (which I also highly recommend) is coming out as a movie sometime in 2017. Fellside is really cool-- it mixes prison drama, crime thriller, and ghost story altogether into a really original story.
The Lies of Locke Lamora is excellent, as is Lynch’s entire Gentlemen Bastards series. Plus, they pick up a lot more awesome female characters in the next two books! Book 2, Red Seas Under Red Skies, includes a kickass middle-aged black woman pirate captain. And back when it came out, Scott Lynch wrote an amazing…
I really appreciate the hell out of the MCU’s courting of the (straight) female gaze.
Getting married may not be very important to him, but I am.
Beautiful.
I can never think of Fallon anymore without remembering that, and it makes me slightly nauseous. So even if he was funny, I don’t think I’d be able to stomach Fallon.
I love Lizzo. I listen to “Feeling Good” like at least once a day— it’s a great sing-along car song.

It’s hard as hell, and sometimes the strangest little thing will trigger a memory or a feeling, and it’s like you’re right back in the middle of the grief. Those days suck, and sometimes you just need to give into your pain and have a…
Hugs. It’ll be 14 years for me in a few weeks.
The next season will be the last, so I imagine we’ll actually get answers and loose ends tied up this year. I’m going to miss Orphan Black so much, but I think it’s smart to call it quits before it really goes batshit.
I didn’t realize it was when McKinnon mentioned her dad. Shit, no wonder she looks upset. My dad died more than a decade ago and I still get jealous/sad during things like the father/daughter dance at a wedding. Two days after he died? If I were her I’d have been in the fetal position under my seat.
Yeah, I’m surprised there hasn’t been an update to clarify this. He died two days ago. I’m amazed she kept it together as much as she did, only letting her emotions truly show when she spoke about her father in her acceptance speech.
