The other thing to remember is gearing. I had a 2000 Grand Marquis with about 225hp... felt decent but slow as hell with the 2.73 rear end. Swap in some 3.73 or 4.10's and it would be good to go.

Seem's like a awful lot of wasted effort bringing you to life.
