Proof read your deed. When I bought the house I live in now, there was a typo in the first deed I received from the seller’s lawyer. It would have moved my entire purchase 1.2 inches south. That would mean I hadn’t purchased the northern most 1.2 inches of the property and further that I had bought 1.2 inches of the

To be fair, if you’re eating at a Chipotle, you’re not actually worried about eating shitty food.

This video is not nearly How Its Made enough for me

Yeah, two click is perfectly good, and it should be in an easily accessible, obvious place on the website, not buried beneath layers of menus.

Any and all memberships these days should be as easy to cancel as a netflix account. I shouldn’t need a manager for a gym cancelation when the greeter at the door is authorized to sign me up as well.

The whole point is to make it more difficult so that way people will give up and not cancel.

2 clicks is what I’d expect. One to cancel, and one to say “Are you sure you want to cancel?”

I feel like I read this story 10 years ago.

Lol no, this the exact quality of “research” I expect around these parts. I just remember reading the original articles a long time ago so bothered to search it up for fun.

From this very site 15 years ago...

I’m not surprised that the author fails to understand why this is actually pretty innovative and different from “lol boats already had sails before” but I’m surprised at the comments on the post doing the same thing. Usually the comments are pretty good at calling out why the author’s take on something is stupid but

This is not exactly new, towing a cargo ship with a kite sail, that is. I remember seeing this maybe 10 years ago as a new development.

No, we have automatic sails.  Check out the massive sailing yacht Maltese Falcon.  There’s no rigging because the mast are strong enough to not need any, and the sails unfurl and furl at the push of a button.

everything old is new again

Are you going to waffle a pie next? Inquiring minds want to know. :)

Ah, darn it! I forgot these were a scam and got sucked in again! I checked and saw a local deli was listed and figured that I could use the $100 to pick up sandwiches etc. over the summer. So I bought $100 for $14. Well, it turns out that place does not take certificates. So I don’t know why they’re even listed as a

I just purchased this and it is not a great deal. It’s very misleading!

More specifically, I purchased a $500 voucher for $70.00. This sounds like a great deal! However, what they are not telling everyone is that the redemption cost/ratio is higher.

Upon redemption, I now have a $500 credit in my restaurant.com

Definitely do the search first. There are only 5 places within 20 miles of me and 2 of them are permanently closed. The other 3 are places I would NOT want to go.

I would be careful about being too blasé - even if the kid has no reason to believe their parents won’t be accepting, it’s still kind of a scary thing to admit for a lot of people. Assure him you love him no matter what, don’t brush it off completely (even if it was obvious to you), and you’re probably good.

That was an enjoyable morning read.  Thank you.
