of a patch on the ICE officer’s uniform

On a tangentially related note,... why do we allow officers of any kind to put any sorts of non-regulation patches on their uniform?

One deportation officer, Robert T. Lombardi, wrote in emails in late 2018 that while they were unsure the new charges would result in new immigration hearings, “This particular defendant has gotten enough breaks and slaps on the wrist for the justice system.”

So, wait, if the juror knew ahead of time what the badge meant, it would have been OK? I’ve been on juries - deliberations are full of opinions based on the things you know and have experienced in addition to the facts gained during the case. That’s how they work. This is the 21st century, what you can Google *is*

Nah, it’s exactly what they want. it’s like repealing the ACA - they don’t actually care about the outcome, they just want to be able to yell about liberals, cancel culture, and activist courts to their base.

So, the problem with your analogy is that your lawn is a private residence that isn’t open to the public”

You can always make your own website. The problem is that they want to be able to spew garbage into other people’s faces and don’t like being told to “fuck off”.

What? Ron DeSantis and his cronies are not the willy political geniuses they’ve been telling us they are?

Literally the only item in this list that is either not already known or somewhat obscure is getting enough sunscreen on your kids.  It’s impossible to be sure they’re covered unless you do it yourself.  Our 11 year old is getting there but he always forgets his cheeks and shoulders.  They just don’t think about it so

What’s wild is: as far as “statement” speeches we’ve been seeing . . . this is tame as they come. The kid didn’t have some righteous call to action or moral attack on those that wronged them . . . they just said hey, this was hard for me, and look how much I’ve grown.

That’s. . . that’s what graduation speeches are

it’s easier to clean underwear than a set of sheets or blankets if one has a shart or two in the middle of the night.

You get less than a mouthful of meat per wing plus it’s all full of fat and gristle.  Not in any way worth it.

who hurt you?

Alas, way too much sodium for me. If I use any pickle brine in recipes, I have to be oh, so careful not to use more than a dash and more than one medium pickle? Balloon city, not to mention the palpitations... :( Even the ranch has to be used sparingly. And I love the stuff!

Thighs are absolutely the best part of the chicken, and the best part of the thigh is the skin (when it’s fried) — especially that one ridge along one side of it, that gets amazingly chewy/crisp. I can totally see going for “Thighstop” (I hate this name, btw...it sounds like some kind of device to prevent guys from

Bryce Dershem,

bacon bits in ramen?

“Bacon” bits  - because I don’t eat pig. I only use them on salads or on a baked potato. But they scratch the itch.

Bijol, which is a Latin “seasoning” mix. I have to be honest, I have no idea what it’s supposed to taste like. I basically use it as a replacement for saffron, for coloring certain Cuban dishes.

My dad, who became primary cook when my mom moved out, had one solid piece of advice; follow the recipe. I think a lot of dads (especially those who focus on grilling) either try to improv or try to make it look like improv. It’s the same instinct that makes so many dads not ask for directions when they’re lost. But a
