As someone who works at the NIH (but in the National Cancer Institute, not the National Institute for Allergies and Infectious Disease that Fauci heads), Trunp doesn’t actually have the authority to fire Fauci from his institute. He could fire him from the national coronavirus taskforce, but that wouldn’t be quite the

I enjoy how game Brad Pitt is for just about anything. He let the Jackass guys kidnap him in public, I saw him on some home renovation show fixing up his longtime makeup artist’s garage into a tricked-out makeup studio, and now this, just because Dr. Fauci made an offhand joke about how Brad should play him on SNL.

“Come on, Uncle Donnie, of COURSE this is still Elbonia!"

I can make any kitchen work for me.

The CDC can’t definitively say it, though, because the science isn’t as sure.

God I hate this guy’s act. My Dad thinks he’s hilarious and keeps trying to show me videos from YouTube to prove his point. I don’t even bother to argue about the racism but I’m like “Dad, this guy is a hack. It’s lazy, easy bad jokes and being able to throw your voice or build puppets doesn’t make that any better.”

My favorite Patton Oswalt bit is when he’s talking about opening for a racist ventriloquist and he says “Now I know what you’re thinking, but no it was not Jeff Dunham.”

Yeah, this might be the first time “intellectual” and “Jeff Dunham” have been used in the same sentence.

I even have these Rubbermaid food saver things which work great for fruit, not so much for lettuce. However I suspect the store is the culprit. Last time I bought Aldi spinach it lasted weeks. If I get it at my regular grocery store, it is garbaggio in less than a week. But I also hate making multiple trips (esp now).

::picks up torch and pitchfork, rouses rabble::

That’s not quite what I’m talking about.

Oh, I definitely ordered more than 10 for this.

Twice in one week? At least something is going right.

Yes. Hot dogs are commonly known as “rat melt” in quite a few parts of the world. True story ^^.

It is however, not a sandwich.
:D

Blini must have buckwheat flour, comrade! Russian GF is fine with Joy of Cooking recipe which I have used since before demise of Soviet Union!

I just don’t know if 30 seconds in the ol’ MVP5 is going to do much to melt a fresh-from-the-fridge slice, let alone two of them.

The French would disagree. A classic salad Nicoise is made with oil packed canned tuna.

Yep, got food poisoning from there in 2017 and haven’t gone back since. And I knew better, but it was so convenient. THAT’S WHAT I GET.

If that’s a big saucepan, I might grab it, because I have been known to fry things in a saucepan specifically to avoid spattering fat. That’s such a miserable-looking knife, but I guess it could be sharpened into something useful.

In line with this, tonight I’m dining royally on a kind of cacio e pepe improved (or bastardized) by bacon bits and cabbage, because... cabbage. Good enough to serve to company if I ever see people again.
