Martha was a year ahead of me in high school, and she was brainy, thoughtful, and kind. Nothing in her success surprises me.

Grazie.
...“it’s part of how they learn - and it’s probably temporary”... OR, it just might last 79 years, and make for a life of unending interest. I am relentlessly curious but I’ve loved learning all these years, and I have the attention span of a gnat.
I think it’s more like fascia. Not a pathologist like you, but doesn’t the pleura actually surround the lungs like a bag, rather than coat the ribs?
The P.F. Changs’s down in SW Florida are both so deafeningly noisy that we only go when visitors insist. The restaurants both have a domed ceiling and people wind up hollering at each other just to have a conversation with dinner. Food was just ok and more expensive than it should be.
Think this would work with queso blanco?
The cashier is much, much faster at bagging. I saw a man yesterday who had scanned full cart’s groceries, but hadn’t bagged anything. That checkout was basically closed for about 10 minutes and the people in line behind him couldn’t see the mess in time to get another line..
I don’t ever want to work in a restaurant or catering truck again, but I sure could sell this! It would sell at breakfast and with a little modification (some kinda meat) it would sell at lunch off a truck.
Been wolfing down White Castles since ~1952. Never have I ever...
There’s something similar to that where you make an egg and cream cheese omelet and then slice it into noodles. I think you pour it onto a small sheet pan and bake a few minutes. I think I learned it here.
The first thing my dermatologist told me was to eliminate fabric softeners and dryer sheets. I use about 1/2 cup vinegar in one of the rinse cycles.
I would start with this in mind, but I’d probably beat an egg, dunk the bread, and make it into french toast with lots of cinnamon and sugar. I want the method that carries the most butter, so I’ll have to try both.
Well, the name fits. Feeding people is generally not considered a waste. If there were a calamity like an earthquake and you had no food would you consider the efforts to sustain you a waste?
If you think the skin is bitter, you could try peeling the cukes...
People were trying to prepare meals using ration books. Things like Bisquick and canned soup + some tuna made that more feasible.
One brand of peanut butter actually includes honey in the jar.
Deceiving stressed people with a limited knowledge of English and geopolitical situations is Governor Who’s way of sneering at Hispanics/Latinos without being too obvious. “Firme aqui, for favor”.
I mostly come here to read what Claire has to say, and occasionally hit a few adolescent articles like this one. Things are getting more adolescent every day. Someone else’s tradition being called, “dumb” is adolescent.
Very reasonable. Years ago some friends in California served me sausage stroganoff, and it was wonderful.
Blue and brown can sometimes be a problem because blue is a component part of brown. If you have the wrong blue or the wrong brown, it’s hard to ignore. White after labor day was pretty much ok’d several years ago when fashion house introduced “winter white”. Now, it’s just a desire to look neat.
