Where are the readers buying this fish that smells? Really fresh fish has practically no odor. You can microwave it on low (2 or 3) for a few minutes and you won’t be boiling the juices and emitting a scent. Stale fish smells bad no matter how you cook it. 

It’s a shame you never had one so you could make an informed comparison. I’ve been using microwaves since the 1960's and they make life much easier. If used correctly, you can cook a roast in one but the setting has to be pretty far down, like #2 or #3. I’ve cooked turkey, chickens, and pork roasts in my microwave.
