Oh shoot. My friend is in love with Superman—she has the requisite Supe logo tattoo, gave her son “Kalel” and her daighter “Zorel” as middle names, etc. She also struggles with Trypophobia. Some of these pictures will freak her out.

Seriously though, I had a similar thought. After Aftermath, it seems like Mothma felt the political pressure to move quickly into peacetime rebuilding mode. So where would that leave the “heroes” of the Rebellion who couldn’t walk away from their armed-struggle-for-hope roots? Assuming they survive the Rebels finale…
“I see you dude.”
Heinlein would be proud. (Not necessarily a good thing, but YMMV.)
“As there was no other race on the planet, it means that the Ewoks were NOT friendly, but very war like and fought amongst themselves.”
Cloak and Dagger looks great. When they first meet, I had a gut reaction and had to temper expectations...assumed we were going in CW edgy teen romance territory here. At that point, it was still entertaining if I accepted it for what (I assumed) it was. But then the turn.
You’re 100% right on the different roots of Dune vs. Star Wars. But I’m with Andy when they say:
But why blame io9 when Rian Johnson was the clearly identified troll here?
98% with you on all that. The 2% is that I’m not actually disappointed by all involved because I need to first see the film to know what they actually do with it.
Nope. Incredibly weird, though I’m trying not to read into it. But definitely odd.
Right? It’s funny. In this case some are critical that we’re going to actually see some parts of Han’s life that we’re previously just mentioned but never before shown on screen film. But recently I’d seen some upset that Leia does what she does in TLJ. One comment claimed that it was inappropriate / faulty because…
“So disappointing.”
Emperor Aleta Ogord! What Mirror! / Infinity Gem madness is this?
Nunchaku....
I’m pretty sure we’re all copacetic on this point, but Gizmodo, as fun as it is to read, is just a website. This institution’s competency is hardly as important to consider as, say, the White House’s. So “glass houses” be damned, I hope Giz keeps demonstrating the lack of experience and ability within the glass White…
I think people respond with “whataboutery” simply to show that TLJ wasn’t nearly as inconsistent with past films as folks maintain. Just saying that there’s precedent for much of what’s in TLJ.
Order 66 = “No more mutants.”
Nah. I’m pretty familiar and mostly unimpressed by the old EU. I read Zahn’s novels while I was in high school in the early/mid-90s and got through almost all the novels until the twins started getting their own stories. Even read most of the Dark Horse stuff. They were fun, but never felt coherent enough. Felt like…
And things moves in cycles I guess...
Is this like Star Trek Dickens Fair?
