There are no true 240Hz displays. HDMI outputs on most devices can't put out more than 1920x1200 at 60 Hz. For PC monitors that do true 120Hz you need dual link DVI or Displayport for that. Even though HDMI 1.4 could technically do that too, I've yet to see any devices that truly support it.

Exactly. Also in the age of global economy, it's insane that we get these "This is not available in your country" things for many internet services for no good reason. The US folks generally have it much better, not having to wait for a year to see a new series on TV or months for a movie to hit the theaters. Plus

I imagine the processing required would add some lag to the sound which would make it feel less immediate and comfortable to play.

The characters themselves are pretty awful too. Illustrator amateur hour stuff.

Sounds like a terrible idea. Most companies have awful websites with bullshit bingo "mission statements" and whatnot. Usually written by some bored copywriter too.

These girls were probably the only ones nuts enough to take part in a miss Finland contest to begin with. There are plenty of better looking gals in Finland.

Not to mention Monster is a pretty awful company in general, suing everyone with the name Monster in the name and all that.

Live, at least for non-classical genres, is arguably even more inaccurate as its often heard in a club with less than stellar acoustics. Actually the Beats might be just perfect to reproduce that echoing bass turned to 10 played at unnecessarily loud volume for the space.

Being able to quit the program while it's in the loading screen is a stroke of genius. I've often opened some big program by accident and then had to wait for it to load.

You don't really need anything more than ffdshow, Quicktime and maybe Real Alternative if you still find a Realmedia file somewhere on the 'net. You can get the latest builds for MPC-HC and ffdshow from [www.xvidvideo.ru]

Try Splash Lite or Splash Pro. I totally agree with you, nearly all media players look like shit on Windows and have downright archaic user interfaces. Especially VLC.

VLC user interface is crap and IMO the image quality of its own renderers is not as good as what you get with MPC-HC + ffdshow or Splash Pro.

Sorry but no. That Casio is butt ugly and I wouldn't wear it with anything. There are plenty of better looking cheap quartz watches.

If someone gets your master password (via a keylogger for example) they would still need your password manager database which is encrypted. So with just the master password they can't do anything unless they have access to your file system, know what password manager's files to seek and are able to upload them in the

It's a solution to a problem nobody had. Using pedals or multifx for effects is still infinitely more useful than trying to activate them on your guitar while playing. Plus it's a Firebird which is far from Gibson's finest hours as far as design goes.

I would be happy just with remotes that are properly designed (what's with the 100 useless buttons?) and don't have those awful rubber buttons!

I think it might be a fundamental difference in developers. Android generally seems to call the engineer types who love to customize everything and are often pretty terrible user interface designers, whereas iOS is loved by more design oriented developers who start with a good UI. The same can be seen with Mac and

I wish they implemented the drag and drop labels to the offline version too.

27" screen at a lowly 1080p resolution. That's fail. Plus that touchscreen thing is probably something you'll use a few times and then forget because you can't be bothered to tilt it to a different position everytime you need to use it since using a touchscreen on a display set in a normal position is very awkward.

Other than getting rid of backlight bleed, does this actually do anything to improve common problems with LCD like response times, input lag etc?
