This shouldn’t be a surprise at all to anyone in Ohio. And John Kasich said in the second GOP debate that this is exactly what he thinks needs to happen - that governors and state lawmakers should have the ability to defund PP at the state level. State lawmakers here have already put PP at the back of the line in

It’s too late for you to see this now, but good luck! I’m a short-distance-only runner, and admire the hell out of you and the other folks who’ll be out there doing it. Kick ass!

As someone who has watched and listened to him speak many, MANY times, I’m not the slightest bit surprised at this. But he sure has the moves.

You made a good choice. I so, so wish I had been as well, but I’m a reporter and was covering it.

But when you’re a lawmaker trying to target only abortion clinics, the point is moot.

He actually said he didn’t want the federal government to be shut down over Planned Parenthood money, but that he wanted governors to have the power to shut PP down. He’s been giving a master class on how to do this for years. There’s currently legislation to defund PP in the Ohio House and Senate, and it comes after

Part of the problem is that the Ohio Democratic Party is basically a dumpster fire. Not enough money and few good candidates, and they’re working under voting laws and legislator districts maps created by Republicans.

I can hear him burp across the kitchen. Because he’s polite he keeps his mouth closed. I think I’d die if he opened his mouth and just let it rip.

We think ours is a Maine Coon mix - he definitely has the body type. And he makes exactly those “brrrpt?” noises too, with virtually no meow. He lets the loudmouth tabby do the talking.

He does audibly burp, though, which is really weird and hilarious.

In what I presume was some sort of tribute to him, this is how the AP broke the news of his death this morning:

As I recall, when you come into Jersey via I-80, you don’t have to pay to get into Jersey at the Delaware Water Gap but you do have to pay to get out. I think that supports your argument as well.

“Your excellency”. That’s magnificent.

This “advice” from Elite Daily is the stupidest thing I’ve read on the internet in a LONG time. I’m no millennial and my husband and I have been very fortunate to have good paying jobs. But we saved SO MUCH in our 20s. We gave up vacations and fancy stuff, we had a very simple wedding, we bought much less house than

Kasich gets his buds in the legislature to add it in, and then when he signs the bill he gets to take credit for it - but he never takes blame, because it wasn’t “his” idea.

I’d be hugely pregnant and proudly eating everything in sight. Good times.

OMG the look of sheer joy on his little face. Just wait till he finds out what being a big brother is like. (I write this as a big sister.)

Not just in the south - in Ohio too. OF COURSE in Ohio.

My son has a shelf full of participation trophies, and getting them was great encouragement when he was starting out as a 5 yr old. And they’re still meaningful for kids who will likely never earn a performance-related trophy but still show up, work harder, pay attention and cheer on their teammates. But five years
