My buddy is looking at buying one today for $900. Pics below. Looks beat on to me but I figured the Oppo hive mind would have a better idea of what this is and if it’s a good deal.
An Acura ILX A-Spec. I had no idea these existed, and I didn’t even take a picture of it because I thought someone just slapped A-Spec badges and a shiny exhaust tip on their ILX. So have the C&D review in its place.
Took a spontaneous ride tonight. Sram’s NX derailleur is made of tin foil & prayers, I’m gonna need to learn how to adjust it myself because taking it to the shop every couple months to get it adjusted is a waste of time and money.
It wasn’t just these tires, it was all of them...
Granted this was a Valero...but still...
I’ve hit a roadblock at work and this topic has been on my mind. I’ll go first.
Wife cut the wheel a little too hard (literally) when leaving the apartment complex and scraped the wheel against the bottom of the gate. The aluminum is gouged pretty good. Any ideas on if it’s repairable at all? It’s beyond regular curb rash.
I got rear ended about a month ago so while my car is in the shop getting its bumper replaced, I’m borrowing my father-in-law’s Maxima. Fire away with any questions you might have. I’m also going to try to do a mini write up next week.
Saw this beast on my way home from work yesterday. Looked like the truck equivalent of a man on stilts.
Update: I appreciate all the advice not to panic. I called the dealer and the way it was explained to me is that even though we signed the contract, the leinholder still has to buy it, so for whatever reason it was Chase that picked it up. All terms have to remain the same. The manager I talked to agreed that I should …
We bought the Civic Hatchback.
As some of you may know, my Wife’s ‘00 Camry is in hospice. So Saturday afternoon we headed down to a local Carmax type place to do some test drives to establish a good baseline of what she’s looking for in a car. The place we went is perfect for what we had in mind, as you basically tell your salesman what you want…
2000 Toyota Camry. ~235,000 miles. In the last year we bought new tires, front struts, and a new battery. Last week my wife reported a loud popping/tapping noise above 2k rpm. We dropped it off at our mechanic today, and I just heard back that the noise is definitely coming from the valve train in the reciprocating…
Some may remember a post I made a little while ago asking for bike rack recommendations. Well it looks like the time-frame for purchasing a new rack has been pushed up.
Seen while picking up my wife’s bike from the shop. Wish I had been able to take some better pictures...but limited time is what makes life what it is. Sick car though.
I want to upgrade my rack before the end of the year. Any one have any recommendations for a 1.25” hitch rack? I’d prefer one with no frame contact.
Taken while dropping the bike off at the shop to get the fork looked at. It started developing a popping sound at the end of yesterday’s ride. Its only 2 months old...Ugh. Also featured: extreme amounds of tree pollen on the car. It only took a couple hours to accumulate all that.
