Sorry, but being bad at the game is not the same as being a toxic player. The people who play competitive games need to figure this fact out.

It gets muckier in the higher tiers, though. A OTP in the TOP 500 got to the TOP 500 by being a OTP. Their strategy is clearly working, why should they be punished for it?
Which is why I sold my copy, I only liked to play as Dva, and this meta game bullshit infuriated me. Who gives a fuck if they “counter” me? I “ASSUME” he was playing in a competitive mode which has a little more leeway into that, but if it was a casual mode they can go fuck off with that shit ill use what I damn well…
“ But stream detectives later pointed out that Lengyel’s reporting of a player was somewhat merited; it was a player from a previous game that had refused to switch off a character, even when they were repeatedly dying”
Is there a spider on it?
Totilo. Your back!
Cecilia, I just want to say how much I appreciate your role as Kotaku’s resident Weird Shit People Do on the Internet reporter.
What? So because some percentage of people will behave badly a major video game news site shouldn’t report on two games that have had terrible launches?

A great example for the d-bags who like to say “Kotaku is just clickbait.” Good stuff.
Prominent staff at the gaming site IGN say they’ve walked out today in the wake of allegations late last week that a…
Wait, so you have JJ Abrams whose done both Star Trek and Star Wars teaming up with the writer for the Arrival, Eric Heisserer... seems like these guys ought to be adapting Voices of a Distant Star instead lol.
RIP Respawn. Killed by EA waaaay before they bought you. Can’t wait for Titanfall 3 on Frostbyte to be released the same day as Destiny 3 or some shit.
I’ll be sociable with people in an mmorpg, that’s a whole different animal. When it comes to shooters though, I’ve never once had a meaningful conversation over voice chat. Not even about the game being played. It’s overwhelmingly been my experience that voice chat in shooters exists purely for slinging insults and…
For me it’s less about trust (I do not trust many people) and more about respect. I play well with people I respect. If they do something to lose that respect, the effort that goes into supporting them as a teammate or partner feels wasted.
This is why I play with the voice chat off.
Line of sight.. LINE OF SIGHT. WE CAN’T FLY DIRECTLY TO YOU- *patch hits*
...Oh, nevermind.
Get Bloodborne. Shouldn’t cost more than $20 with its excellent DLC at this point.
No one wants to tank in FFXIV :P
In FFXIV, the special ingredient is ‘love’. Just don’t tell the FDA. *shifty eyes*
