Number scores are a whole big discussion in and of themselves. Needless to say, nothing is perfect and I’m very pleased that Kotaku does not use numbers in reviews.

Public service announcement: If you enjoyed Mass Effect (OG) you should buy Andromeda. Fuck animation haters this game over the 6 hours I put in the trial destroyed every expectation I had and then some. A few hiccups that are momentarily distracting but overall A+ gaming experience.

I agree. The first time I played ME1, I wasn’t a fan of how wonky the game was. After a few hours of elevators and turning everything into omni-gel, I started to love the game. ME2 is still my favorite though.

This is reassuring. 1 is my favorite of the series (closely followed by 3, FITE ME IRL), but I’m deliberately avoiding spoilers until I get the game myself. Fingers crossed I’m not disappointed :/
