See this is EXACTLY what Kotaku is good for and should do more often. Actually call out GAMING related companies and businesses that conduct shady business practices at the expense of their employees and gamers alike.
To me it feels like Square-Enix is simply adopting the same strategies employed by any game developer releasing content for current-generation consoles.
An excellent point! I was 6'4" in 6th grade, so my frame of size reference isn’t quite the same.
It really is. Her performance is leaps and bounds the better one, and really cements the character.
Kobayashi has so many genuinely nice and peaceful character moments. Though I do agree that Little Witch is a gem of the season, it’s not on Netflix yet. Only the movies are. Once the whole thing has been aired, it will be put online.
Recently played ME1 and 2, currently playing ME3. Pretty sure the class in ME Trilogy doesn’t affect story or dialogue at all. The only thing Class affect is Decryption/Electronic skill to open optional container in ME1.
I also said I would kill you last. That’s still . . . up in the air.
Without the feeling of playing against your team mates in multi-player, a single class system doesn’t get you much.
I’m failing to think of a significant moment in any of the three ME games where your class affected the story. Maybe a character offhandedly said “oh Shepard is the best Engineer in the galaxy!” vs “oh Shepard is the best Soldier in the galaxy!”, but I can’t think of anything significant. In fact, I recall my Engineer…
Yes, Bioware got inspiration from KotOR to create their own IP, but Mass Effect has always felt much closer to a splice between Star Wars and Star Trek, particularly ME1 (and to a lesser extent, Andromeda).
Who looks normal in that trailer?? Everyone looks freaking incredible.
Oh man, this is exciting as all hell. Hope it’ll be an Action RPG in the vein of FFXV, by that I mean an RPG with a big overarching plot and combat that has tag elements, but more pronounced than in FFXV right now. Maybe similar to the planned online mode in FFXV.
Why does everybody think “maining” a character means that’s the only character you play?
I MEAN LOOK WE TRIED BUT NOT REALLY THO.
I’m sorry but the VA of Velvet sounds like the ENG VA for Killua in HXH and that’s all the reason in the fucking world for me to play it in English. Also I don’t want to read because there’s a half naked woman with a glowy beast arm slashing shit and looking hot doing it.
Xillia was admittedly my first Tales game, but I keep hearing people say this about the story and I don’t understand it. Almost every time I thought I knew exactly what was going to happen based on anime tropes, it surprised me. I thought Xillia was fantastic.
Thank you for this. A woman isn’t lacking in agency just because she’s making decisions you don’t agree with. I might concede that she’s in over her head, but to cast her as someone so blank that she can’t muster up the power to make her own decisions is a disservice to both her, and other women like her. Just because…
“The more, the shittier”
there, fixed for you.
Great game. It was the perfect balance between serious and absurd. After this game the series became just overly absurd and lost it’s way.
