I love their stuffing cubes, and the whole wheat potato bread options are incredible... but Mastriano is an absolute turd, so Martin’s is out.

*Every* place has crappy “Valentine’s Day” specials for any couples dealing with the BS of the day. +1 for going out the day before or after, you’ll get a much better experience.

It’s all fancy-French sounding, but it just means “putting in place” and it’s *essential* for any fast-moving cooking. If you’re going to do a stir-fry or anything quick, you need to have all your ingredients washed and chopped and ready to toss in the hot pan the moment you need it.

A side note from the grays...

If I don’t pre-weigh my produce when I bag it, I make sure that item has a sticker with the code on it so I can ring it up quickly in the self-checkout. Certain staple codes should be memorized through sheer repetition, though.  4053 for lemons, 4065 for green peppers, 4165 for sweet onions are personal ones for me.

Looks like the (now retired) Factory Burger from Cheesecake Factory. That was a tasty sammich.

I want to make these, and recently scored a crazy deal on a food processor that came with a plastic “dough blade,” similar to the standard metal but doesn’t reach quite as far and obviously isn’t sharp.  Would that be an appropriate tool here?

Soup, or any pasta dish with a runny sauce. If you wouldn’t wear a bright white shirt while eating for fear of staining it, then you’ll either be a damn mess by the end or have paid so much attention to being all clean and proper that you’ve ignored your date or only taken two bites of food.

Those racks are skin and bones just like she was...at the time. Great comment from Dead Elvis, sorry to play off it!

As a MD native, taking a first date to a proper Crab Feed could be the start of something *serious.*  But they’ve both gotta be into it, a first date is no time to pop someone’s “Feed Cherry.”

I taught Office classes to adults for 13 years. These are all good things to do, and all things that I taught. I ran class with formatting marks turned on so they could see what was happening.

Cooper Sharp American on the inside, shredded sharp cheddar on the outside of the bread for a Crusty Inside-Out.  Well worth the extra time.

Came here to say this same thing. If anyone expects their fast food sammiches to look exactly like the ad, they totally deserve the disappointment they’ll feel when reality hits. That “Land Air and Sea” BS was a DIY “hack” that McD’s probably just did to track in the app.

I was two month’s shy of my 40th birthday when I got together with a girl that was 24. I was so shocked that someone so young and way more attractive than me would take an interest that my mid-life crisis mind couldn’t possibly say no.  Male celebrities (especially M.F. Captain America!) do not have the luxury of that

Just made a batch of cookies last weekend as a late Christmas present. They were Oatmeal Spice cookies with craisins and some orange zest, and they were iced with a simple mix of 2T OJ, dash of vanilla, and powdered sugar. Lesson learned, go light on the icing because it’s pretty sweet but the flavor is great.

I always use a carbonated water for any tempura/deep fried batter I make. Club Soda/basic seltzer or a can of beer works great.

I live in an apartment above a social club, for which I am a member and (sometime) bartender so I have keys. I get grocery bags of ice from the machine whenever I need, and if it gets funky in my freezer I can easily dump and refill.

Worked like a champ. Let the CC sit out for a while and then microwaved slowly to melt. It blended perfectly. Then I Air-Fried that S.O.B. and made mini-muffin cakes in the regular oven with the leftover. No water baths to be found. The minis came out perfect, and received comments on the smooth filling. The 5"

Just as the Midwest has gas station pizza, the East Coast has gas station MTOs with varying menus. WaWa, Sheetz, Rutter’s all offer similar foods and they have their loyalists, but (as Yoda said) “There is another.”

I used a different recipe for the batter, but it still came out great for a first attempt.  Next time I’ll “fry” it for another 5 minutes to finish firming the center.
