each faction (security and resistance) has different audio for every gun. the security guns sound more precise, smoother, cleaner...the resistance guns sound more rattle-y, harsher, like they were thrown together from random machine parts found in a junkyard (thats the idea of it anyways).

it still is a kill, for all intents and purposes. every time a player is killed, there is the option to respawn (based on a continuously counting respawn timer, at PAX east, it was on a 20 second loop), or to wait for a medic, so you can maintain your position if a medic can reach you.
