Actually, insurance requires you pay premiums for coverage. Your premium is based on how risky of a customer you are. The riskier you are, the more you pay. With the ACA, those that could never afford the premiums get subsidized by the Gov’t and pay 1/15 of what it would actually cost them for that coverage. …
