The price increases aren’t unique to Tesla. Everything has gone waaay up, including the prices of other cars. It’s just that other manufacturers just offer less incentives hiding the price increases.

Rory Ried had an explainer video for what we’re seeing

I wouldn’t be surprised if they were running Cup 2 Rs most of the top times are Cup 2 R and Trofeo R.

Explorer ST is obviously faster than Fiestas and Golfs, it’s got 400 hp. It’s no where near as fast as 400 hp sedans though.

I seriously doubt that, specially considering the early sports sedans were pretty light and were some of the best driver’s cars.

Anything that’s not a sports car.

I don’t want to laugh. It might have a 0 - 60 time of 1.98 s* and then next thing you know it’s breaking sales records.

160 hp felt fast as hell back then.

Tesla/Elon fanboys weren’t car people to begin with. It seems to me that these are apple/Steve Jobs fanboys who were looking for the next best thing until they found Elon.

Any body remember that show from the 90s?

It’s just one generation. 997 is just the internal designation for that generation. I could be wrong but I believe .1 and .2 were added by the automotive press to distinguish between the pre and post facelift 996. Kind of like how they christened the golfs with mk1, mk2, mk3 etc when VW calls them (internally) the

The planes shouldn’t be trying to fly themselves into the ground/ocean in the first place. This is undeniably an engineering disaster.

Sad they didn’t make it. This was basically a German Zonda before the Zonda existed.

This is absolute rubbish. The distance my low beams (or any car I have driven recently) has never been an issue to me. The blinding lights being pushed into existence by IIHS are what is dangerous. When passing by oncoming traffic with these latest generation of headlights it takes a while for the eyes to adjust back

The thing about pick up trucks in America is, people there tend to own recreational vehicles in some form or another. Something like 60 something percent of American households have one. So ATVs, UTVs etc are pretty common for suburban and rural folk.

Something tells me if they put that overheight sign closer to the ground (at eye level possibly) and in yellow or red it might actually make a difference.

It’s all fun and games until the manufacture blocks you from accessing some of their services.

I don’t think this $112k truck is supposed to be a volume seller so much as it’s a engineering and marketing exercise. It’s probably a better test bed for the supply chain management, if things go wrong at least it won’t a big PR disaster and then the developments will be eased into the more popular platforms.

Is the Zoe’s sales boost really that beneficial to the company? Electric cars tend to be substantially more expensive to design, engineer and manufacture. Unless they figured out some ingenious work arounds that we aren’t aware of.

Doesn’t need to bring anything new really. It’s a crossover like every other crossover. Just pick your favourite brand and buy that, at the end of the day you get something close to what the other brands are selling.
