I used to drive by NPG in the summer, the cars/trucks in the Union lot were unreal.  (Vipers!). I also went to college with people who worked there, baller status for sure. Until it closed in the late 2000s. Everything you state is the truth.

Wow, that is beautiful, especially with the floor shift. I agree, CP price as advertised. NP @ 5k. I almost bought a red 1997 ZQ8 just like that but no power windows/locks and column shift for $12,000 in 2000. It had about 36,000mi.

This was literally the conversations we would have at night in the parking lot. The local hospital and plastics plant would hire in at about double minimum wage. The problem was keeping the job, expectations were high. The holy grail was getting into NPG for the summer, that was UAW union wages at shift differential.

I mean there are other issues, too. The vacuum assist on the front diff will stick on some point and the actuator motor on the transfer case will die, not if but when. Then there are the standard GM issues around drivetrain that will crop up. Mine had an EGR fail and left me stranded with a 42mi tow bill. Luckily my

The Ranger Splash was the official truck of “Im 19 with a job paying $7.50/hr (1990s era funds)“ im my hometown.  It came with a complimentary Godfather Customs T-Shirt.

Exactly. This truck is from NY since new, has the 1990s era McLouth sticker on the tailgate. Which means, no matter how well they kept it, its seen some level of salt since the roads are not truly clean until mid-june. Which we know that means its ready to bloom soon. If it were out of the south and just came up, I

The 1998+ interior rattled so bad and everything just broke.  At least the 1994-1997 interior had some feel of quality to them.

They also had a metallic pink color called Raspberry Metallic.

On the 4WD you will need ball joints at some point if they are still stock. Also, on this iteration of the 4.3 is known for intake gasket issues.

Yeah.  If it were a loaded with the ZQ8 package and that clean, I could get to that number.  I feel like going with cash and pulling a Richard Rawlings and asking “How much do you want for this $3,000 truck”.

This is exactly why I don’t have an BOF Impala SS.  That and the interiors that just fall apart.

I am currently stalking this S-10 on CL right now. The only thing that is holding me back is I owned a 1995 Sonoma and I know too much.

Yes.  Those are nice to work on.  My brother had to do them on his Escalade.  But well over 100,000mi when they went.

They were some how supposed to make this all Trump’s fault, too.

Thats pretty good considering I know people with F150s of the same vintage that needed wheel bearings at 40kmi.  Ford told them to pound salt, too.

Well, the resultant buy out by FCA and an already developed 3.0L sitting in Europe that could drop right in.

Beautiful in its Simplicity.  Have your star!

The mall I used to go to had a used car showroom for the local Chevy dealer in it. He would put some nice stuff in it, too.  F-Bodies, Corvettes and the like.  All used, but it was better than watching the tvs at SILO waiting for the Mrs to get her hair done.

Not that I saw, but I was keeping my eye on the road the best I could. There were a lot of Mustang, Camaro and Corvette convertibles. So, I dont think its out of the realm of possibility that someone would take one on there.
