1) I need to watch it again, but It only started talking about the cities because Fitz brought it up. Fitz was just clever enough to ask how Will knew so much about them. But I think It would have probably not said anything if Fitz hadn’t unwrapped the injured leg and seen it was just exposed bone. I seem to recall

Let me preface this by saying that we did know Ros for 8+ episodes and I think the chemistry between her and Coulson was there from the beginning. If we felt that, surely they felt that even more. And while we didn’t know her well we certainly had time to like her. Even I who really wanted to not like her struggled

I retract this, I just checked out the dates on the pictures of the evolving Hydra logo and the upside-down tentacle/skull logo was from the 2nd century BC...the ram’s head was from the 800s AD.

That Hydra statue bothered me, because that Hydra symbol has only existed for a relatively short while. When It first went to Maveth the symbol was a very simple ram's head. The horns only turned into hydra tentacles much later. I guess one of the sacrifices could have updated It, but I assumed It destroyed the planet

TAHITI protocol.

I suspect Mack will stay on as Director, for a while longer at least. Coulson will probably feel he needs some time after what he did on Maveth. I think Maveth will be for him what Bahrain was for May, and he will bench himself from leadership for a while to figure out who he is again.

I think Malick COULD have held the portal open for longer, but he had pre-programmed the computer to close it after a short period of time. I think Malick is a big old coward and never had any intention of being there when It came through so he had programmed the computer to handle it automatically and got out of

I am pretty sure Fitz killed someone at the Hub in season 1 during the fight after Garrett was revealed to be Hydra. Maybe that is not the episode. I just remember he was hiding under a desk and shot a Hydra goon who was about to kill May.

Good call on the fingers.

I am sure he will get an even better hand when he gets home. He said a few episodes back that his current hand was "mostly" right. I bet he gets an even cooler one now.

Yep...Coulson saw "Will" was about to bash Fitz with a rock so he shot him. Ward took the opportunity to knock Coulson off the ridge and slip his bound hands in front of him. Then Fitz finished "Will" off.

Ward’s group heard Coulson coming through the portal at the end of “Closure” but couldn’t see him because of the sandstorm.

I really liked Joey in this episode. He provided some much needed comic relief as the guy for whom all of this is still new. So excited as he discovers the extent of his new powers. "I'm bulletproof!" Awesome.

So I am very happy that Ward is dead, but I have mixed feelings about it. Last week someone asked if there was a way for Ward to die that would be satisfying enough after all he has done and I made some comments that essentially said that revenge was never really satisfying. We think it will make us feel better but it

Well, probably...but still ;)

I am just a little peeved that Mack got complimented on his pep talk when he stole the best line from Coulson. :/

I think Ronan was of the terrorist mindset—trying to get revenge against the Nova Empire for all the Kree who have died in the war between the two.

I think there is some development for Coulson. Remember in past seasons there were all the complaints about Fury’s methods (Coulson felt this to an extent in season 1, then Pointy SHIELD really stated it in season 2). Now we sort of see Fury-in-progress. What made Fury the mistrusting, extreme, Mr. Angry we all know

Ha!

No, I wasn’t referring specifically to the show. He was never called Kraken on the show (but no one has ever called Bobbi Mockingbird or al Hyde, either). And much to the chagrin of many, Whitehall never donned the helmet. But it was mentioned last season he could come back as Kraken since Jiaying’s DNA seems to allow
