Peaches come from a can,
They were put there by a man
In a factory downtown
If I had my little way,
I’d eat peaches every day

I’ve honestly never considered not hanging a towel on my oven handle, it’s not something I consider messy. It’s such a normal thing to me, it’s how I was raised.
But you didn’t talk about my grandmother’s fear: will bay leaves kill you if you eat them? She thought yes but Google pretty much says no (and lots of cuisines add ground dried bay leaves to spice mixtures). But just like I’m still sure today that if I swallow a watermelon seed, I’ll grow a watermelon in my tummy, I’m…
Can we please stop using TWC Storm Names™ as though they are official storm names? They exist only to make ratings for TWC. The Vane’s excellent meteorological guru made that distinction years ago.
Man, that just sucks!
Was actually going to try corned beef and cabbage (at least the corned beef part). For a 7lb brisket, I would think it would take hours.
Though you don’t owe me anything, I would appreciate that if you do elect to go the CB&C route to at least attempt making your own.
Brisket isn’t typically expensive (you pay for the pound, not the price per), and with a large enough tub you could do a two’fer side by side of a better cut of beef vs. a store bought…
Don’t do just one breakfast casserole, do multiple ones. This would probably be best made if you cooked them in the jars. One with sausage, one with ham, one with bacon, and a vegetarian option with peppers and mushrooms.
Breakfast Casserole is interesting because there are a lot of different ingredients involved. Eggs and Bacon cook differently. Would you make the casserole as one big batch or ingredients separate and then mix them together after the sous vide?
My nutcracker looks like the one below and stays in my kitchen drawer all year around because I use it to open stubborn screw caps. How’s that for a lifehack?
Juicy Lucy because leftover pizza is meant to be eaten the next morning.
Do you guys remember a little commenter named “Phoenix?” That was me. Way back when Lifehacker was new, I, like you,…

I use Way of Life. It’s plenty for me
To be completely selfish, the Starbucks egg bites. My wife loves those (and has bought more than a few...they are pretty pricey for 2 bites of eggs!) and has been harassing me to make them at home but I haven’t found a good copy cat recipe yet.
Groundhog Day is coming. You should revisit a former WISV that didn’t work out quite like you planned.
I just discovered Adriene last week, and I have to say—she is delightful! Some might find her language a little too “hippy dippy” (or whatever it is yoga-haters say), but I’m a sarcastic saltbox with a heart of ice, and she doesn’t bother me. Her instruction is gentle and encouraging, and the videos I’ve seen have…
There are a few recipes out there for sous vide burgers... one of the only ways you can safely eat a burger less than medium well. It’s also a great way to pull off a big, thick burger with a seared exterior that’s safe but not dry (the only practical alternative being reverse sear.)
Chocolate pudding. I’m just gonna keep saying it. :)
Maybe this isn’t good for this week, but I’d like to see a take on those Starbucks Sous Vide eggs that they have out now. It seems like you could have a lot of variation!
